Reonauts (man, my IPad didn't want to type that word) - can someone explain the topper? Is it a cartomizer? I now understand how the Reo works but none of the videos talk about batteries much or what else is needed.

They sell on the website under "rebuildable atomizers" a reomizer 2. For short, the rm2. When you press the juice bottle, it sends juice up the tube into the rm2 which is essentially a dripper that's fed from the bottom. Most drippers you just drip juice into the top. When you squeeze the bottle, juice comes up from where you screw the atty on in the bottom into the well of the rm2. Then you fire it and you have the best vape of your life. :)

There are 2 versions of the reo aside from grand and mini. They are LP which stands for low profile and regular. The LP reo means that where you screw your atty on (called the catchcup) it's milled down (filed down) and shorter. By it being shorter, it will allow you to use other attys like a cyclone which I think are larger than 14mm. If I were you, I would get the LP just to have that option down the road. The downside though is that the cartos which are easy to change out and don't require building are not compatible with the low profile reos. So, that's a decision to make. Once you build a coil, I have faith you will be fine. The rm2s are probably one of the easiest builds to do. Some people swear by the rm2 and don't ever need to consider a cyclone. The cyclone benefits would be that you can build pretty good dual coils on them but mostly they have what's called an AFC which means air flow control that can be added which allows you to dial in the airflow on your vape. Getting more air on the coil can make a difference in the vape experience. Currently, ever vendor in the world is sold out of cyclones which are made by vicious ant but I emailed them the other day and they said they expect stores in the US to get them back in stock in July. There are rumors that rob will be carrying other attys on the reo site soon as well which means if you get an LP reo you can use other things instead of the rm2. I personally only have the rm2 b/c everything is sold out but I like having the option to try another topper down the road when it becomes available.

And he uses neodymium magnets, they are more powerful than the cobalt. I have a bunch, I love them. Although don't try and wear them as earrings....I learned that lesson the hard way...:(

OUCH!!!!!

Thought they may have been coated ceramics as the BR seems to be a wee bit low. Quite familiar with magnets as one of my hobbies is building 1/24 scale "eurosport" slot cars. I even have my own cobalt zapper however, it will not improve neo's. You need a big machine for that. Perhaps the fix would be a wee bit more surface area or the addition of a another pair at the bottom. No worries though. I can live with it. ;)

My Dibi has four for the top cap and four for the bottom, so I agree, four more at the bottom of the door would help a lot!

And kinggirl, I have a Igo-bf rba for my next Dibi I got from Rob to try it out as it too is an LP atomizer. We shall see, I liked it when I tried it but it has even less room inside than the other RM2s. It is TINY!!!

OK, this is what I've concluded, I think. A Reo is a way to drip without having to mess with a dripper. You buy all parts separately and need to learn how to build a coil FIRST. Kinggirl, you kinda lost me on the atomizers but I'm going to research what you said.

A good KFL clone is the EH Pro but I'd need some type of mech mod or bigger device, which I'm unclear about. Not ready to jump into a Provari, I don't think.

Ms.C, when you come I would show you what I have if you'd like so you can wait on spending money on more than just coil building things...Personally I'm one that needs to SEE it and watch as someone does the things I need to learn...

Thanks to those of you who offered to help me move up in equipment on another thread....here's what I have in my infancy:

2 Ego Twists
2 Innokin vv v3's
Couple of EVOD dual bottom coil glass tanks
Couple of EVOD regular BC tanks
Couple of Smok NBC clearomizers
Lots of T3's etc. that I never use.

First, I'm female so not interested in anything that looks like a grenade. LOL During the day, I'm in an office so need something portable and stealthy, which the itaste Vv's are pretty good for. I have a guy vaping in my office who is about to get us all banned with his stinky juice that even I find pretty bad so I'm careful at work not to offend nearby co-workers, not to vape walking down the hall etc. I even go outside with the smokers a couple times a day. At home, anything goes.

At one time I said I'd never rebuild coils but I've changed my mind about that. I clean tanks and coils pretty much daily as I vape a lot of sweet juices that tend to gunk up my coils and I'm a clean freak anyway. It would be nice to quit throwing them away.

What I'd like is to improve flavor but maintain some convenience. Rebuilding coils seems like something I could get into to some extent. I've already spent more than I ever did smoking so I'd like to get something I could stick with for a while and enjoy all these NT juices even more.

I started vaping in 2010 and quickly gave it up and went back to smoking with an occasional vape episode mostly when traveling. This time, it's been about 4 months of two smokes a day and 30 days (today) since my absolute last cigarette, a 40 year bad habit, so I need to keep this going but it's pretty overwhelming at times.

I don't say "The REO is the single best investment I have ever made in vaping" lightly. There are lots of choices, but honestly, to me it makes sense to go direct to the end-game and skip all the intermediate steps that will inevitably find their way into the PIF box or collecting dust in the "someday I will find time to fiddle with it" pile. I have every confidence that a vaper could take a single reo and a dragon-horde of NT liquid and be relatively confident they need not be concerned about relapsing to ciggies.

(Sidebar) I have no affiliation with Robert or REOs mods with the exception of being a very happy customer. With regard to his level of engagement with his customer base and/or the quality of the products he endeavors to provide, it's hard to beat it.

You could get a small mech mod for under 30 dollars to use with the KFL+. All you would need to go with the mech mod is a battery (look for ones that use either the short 18350 or taller 18650 as it will be the same size around as the KFL+) and charger. Or, you could get a Vamo which takes the same size batteries. Either would hold you over until you decide if you want a Reo and are ready. You would also get the experience building coils on the KFL+ and have a backup mod.

So it's a couple weeks later and I've gotten my official NT delivery device up and running. When you guys are right, you're SO right! Thank you all so much for the input here. I went with the Reo mini LP and the RM2 LP because my hands are small. It. Is. Awesome!

I went back and forth in my mind justifying the expense but soon realized how fast I'd spend that amount on a variety of other equipment. Then almost all of my tanks started giving me trouble at about the same time. Grrrr.

The postman was 4 hours late but when he showed up, he also had a little purple package for me. Eenie Meenie Minee Mo...Wakonda went in first, FOOB. My mind knows there's a tobacco flavor in there but damned if I can find it! Yea!

The Reo is a little heavier than I expected but is a little smaller than I expected. My first coil on 30 gauge Kanthal came in at 2.0 ohms. Maybe I should have used the 28. It will take a little getting used to not having a vv also. I will probably always have some type of vv device.

Now, who can tell me how this juice flopper changes juice in this thing? My grap3 ap3 is screaming to be let out. I bought about 5 more empty bottles but do you need to clean out the base of the atomizer? Wick? Tube?

CONGRATS!!!!

And I'd say just fill the new bottle up and go. The juices will overlap a bit but it won't be a problem. ;) :thumb:

If I have the time I usually take the old bottle out, take off the atty. and spray a stream of compressed air down the hole in the 510 connector....BE SURE to either have a tissue on the tube or hold it over a sink when you do this!!!:D
In my case I have a Reo/RM2 for each of the 2 juices I vape most often -- CLS in my Grand and GCD in my Mini 2.1.....so flavor "crossing" isn't an issue!!:)
Happy (vaping) Trails!

I've been just blowing through the tube end when I want minimal overlap....this sounds like a much smarter way to do it though.
