Maybe to help newbies like myself that are just venturing into vaping, maybe some of the long term members can fill us in on their success stories.

A few things i know I'm interested in and understand the results vary by person but...

Some ideas.

1) how long did you use analogs (normal cigarettes)

2) How long did it take before you were off them completely and only on Ecigs

3) if you haven't quit smoking yet completely, how come?

4) anyone find themselves doing something 3 months, 6 months a year later being solely on Ecigs they hadnt done in years because of smoking? Bike riding, jogging, hiking, just feeling good..

5) anything else that you found was "better" with using Ecigs overall.

Just looking for some stories and experiences others have had switching to ecigs and any improvements they saw in their lives or health.

Myabe stories like this and being able to refer back to them will keep newbies like myself inspired to quit. I am already but i love seeing what others have experienced of a positive nature and that always gives me the boost i will need down the road.

1) how long did you use analogs (normal cigarettes)
I smoked for about 10 years, 1.5 packs a day.

2) How long did it take before you were off them completely and only on Ecigs
My wife (18 year smoker) and I both completely stopped smoking the day we received our Volt kits in the mail. We went down to the porch and had a cigarette while we were unboxing them. That was the end of our smoking careers. We didn't even realize it at the time, as we had planned to use them to "smoke" indoors, and to hopefully cut back on cigarettes.

3) if you haven't quit smoking yet completely, how come?
See #2

4) anyone find themselves doing something 3 months, 6 months a year later being solely on Ecigs they hadnt done in years because of smoking? Bike riding, jogging, hiking, just feeling good..
I drive for "a major delivery company". Where I would lose my wind easily with stairs, or a bit of an incline, I now have plenty of energy all day. Morning coughing fits are a thing of the past. Sex life improved on a few different levels. Also, we don't stink.

5) anything else that you found was "better" with using Ecigs overall.
I can vape anywhere I please- the movies, on a plane, in the airport, grocery store. It's become a bit of a hobby for us. We look better, and feel great. It's quite a ride man, glad you decided to join us!

Just feeling good in general. Food tastes better especially chocolate shakes. Yes I've gained a few pounds LOL

1) how long did you use analogs (normal cigarettes)
Over 35 years. About 2 packs a day

2) How long did it take before you were off them completely and only on Ecigs
The day my first kit arrived. I'd run out of smokes and I just refused to go buy any more.

3) if you haven't quit smoking yet completely, how come?
N/A

4) Anyone find themselves doing something 3 months, 6 months a year later being solely on Ecigs they hadnt done in years because of smoking? Bike riding, jogging, hiking, just feeling good.
Just feeling better all around. I'll be 57 in a few weeks and haven't felt this good in 20 years.

5) anything else that you found was "better" with using Ecigs overall.
I smell better, my truck smells better, and my wife is happy.

The experiences people are saying they have had and some of the ones im reading in the other area of the forum (linked above) are the mirroring what im hoping for. Freedom from the the "dirty" feeling i have about being a smoker, the fear of "do i stink" after i have been outside in the middle of winter having one and coming back in..My new vehicle (it only has 8,000km on it) smelling like a smoke, Not being able to look into some apartments if i want to move because i smoke...and so on and so on.

not to mention over time and healing having my lungs heal, my sense of taste improve, my sense of smell improve...more energy...cancer risk dropping rapidly...a better sex lif.......................ohh wait..you need a partner for that :( guess that will have to wait...

DAMN!! Im excited for the journey and i am so ready for this.

Smoked 1 PAD very strong analogs for 44 yrs.

How long did it take before you were off them completely and only on Ecigs
Same day- 2 hrs after I began vaping had 2 puffs on an analogs and HATED it.

Anyone find themselves doing something 3 months, 6 months a year later being solely on Ecigs they hadnt done in years because of smoking?
On Sat. at the cottage loaded, wheeled and spread 90 wheelbarrows topsoil about 90' away and loaded/ spread another 20 loads about 20' away in 6 hrs. Also moved some small boulders and leveled the driveway where the topsoil had sat for 9 months. Told my wife if I was still smoking would've been a 2 day job. Yesterday went for a 5? mile swim in the bay. I can now rely on my lungs that had been so abused for many yrs. Also now playing rugby and back into martial arts. An amazing transformation noticed not only by myself and wife but also our friends and neighbors.

anything else that you found was "better" with using Ecigs overall.
I can honestly say everything in my life has improved but especially not having the fear of COPD or the big C continually in the back of my and my family's mind.

I had smoked on and off for about ten years, at a rate of about a half a pack a day. I'd quit cold turkey every once in a while, but would often return to smoking during times of stress.

When I switched to e-cigs, I went three days without a cigarette. I was feeling pretty awful on the third day, however, and had a regular cig to make me feel better. After that I went about a week without, then broke down when trying to throw out my last pack and tried one, which tasted awful. Haven't had one since.

I've noticed my breathing is much easier, and the wheezing is gone.

One of the things I like most about e-cigs is the ability to take just one or two puffs at a time. With a cigarette - once it's lit, you're kinda stuck with it unless you want to carry one around that smells awful because it's half-burnt.

Hi to you all,

I smoked 2 packs of Dunhill/day for more than 15 years. Now I'm on e-cigs for 4 months and never looked back.
My first e-cig was a ProVari and my first atty a genesis. Maybe this helped since all performed excellent from day 1.
I'm a dentist, so, making wicks and coils was not difficult at all with youtube's help.

LOLLLL not bad for 60...about 2 hrs depending on the winds and more so the current. The secret...I was a competitive swimmer in my younger days and in Highschool was on 5 city championship teams grade 9- 12. Went to provincials and was offered 3 college scholarships. Paid my dues though and was up at 3:30 every morning for practice- about 4 hrs per day, 6 days per week.
I tell you since quitting smoking 9 months ago I feel like I'm 25 yrs younger and when I hear people complaining about exercise I wince cuz exercise is supposed to be enjoyable. If anyone asks where the power is in swimming it's all in the legs/ kick and I spent a ridiculous amount time trying to perfect it. The nickname of our team- the Dolphins and that's what people say it looks like when I'm swimming in the Bay. I just LOVE swimming and I'm in a completely diff world when in the water.

@ vapor eyes er

So glad you answered my post. I didn't start swimming laps till I was 50 years old. The first day I showed up, I couldn't even make it the whole way down the lane. I had to stop & rest about half way. ( short way is 25 yds right?)
So now ( age 63) I swim laps at the rec pool here 3 days/ week usually. I try to do 40 lengths minimum. So I can't imagine what you do. But tomorrow morning at 6 am I will concentrate on LEGS!
Thanks for the tip Coach vapor eyes er.
Vape on & happy swimming.

I started vaping in February of this year, and haven't had an analog since. For me there wasn't even a painful transition once I received my first ego's on or about Feb 10th. And this is after a 22yr smoking habit! now I'm a member at the local YMCA where I run 2mi a day and lift weights every other day. I went from 195lbs to 210lbs since Feb (None of it fat) At 49yrs old I feel better than I have in years. Since Iv'e been vaping I managed to accumulate 2ego's one variable voltage ego, two boge leo's, two Kgo's, one bolt tube mod, one roughstack mod, and one mini vv tube mod. What begin as just as something to get me off of the cigs became a hobby.

Great to hear you're swimming. It's GREAT exercise all around and the quickest way to get back into shape.

Very, very impressive and ya know, it's so great to hear stories like yours and what amazes me the most is after all the abuse we've hurled at our bodies they answer our call and reward us so richly and quickly. I think if I was my body I'd look for another owner that treated me with a lil' more dignity :D
Cheers, vape on and swim on.
