I have ordered the diluted version of tobacco Absolute from Wizard Labs and mixed it at 4% but I am not getting much of a tobacco taste - even after ten days of steeping. I do get a chemical taste apparently because of the alcohol content which I am trying to get off by leaving the cap off. Anyone had a similar experience? What % and steeping time are best? I have also mixed TA at 2% with Hangsen Red USA without much luck. Help!!

You are attempting to use one of the most difficult tobaccos (imo) of all. At low percentages the diluted absolute is fairly tasteless. I have a recipe for buffalobacco posted in the recipes sub forum and if you search for it, it may help you work things out.

For just diluted ta alone, I didnt care for it but had better results around 8%-12% flavoring.

Also, TA and any juice made with it will need time, age, and patience. I have some of my buffalobacco juice over 2 years old and its my prized ejuice. I treat it like a $300 bottle of wine. Sure you can speed or seed steep it, and it'll be vapeable asap. However anything with TA gets better with age. TA doesnt just mature, it gets prettier as it ages.

I use a pure TA with a consistancy of tar. I dilute it 1 part TA to 9 parts PG for a 10% solution. Then use that at 3 - 4% in my mix. That's equal to about 5 times the amount that you used.

Thanks Danny, by your account then the WL stuff I am using is much thinner than your 10% solution.... I could be wrong but I thought their's was advertised at 10% as well. It also means I should be mixing the WL stuff above 10%, perhaps even at 15%... Wow. I am going to double my concentration to 8% as a stand alone and see how it goes.

Yes, best thing to do is keep increasing it as a standalone until it taste right for you.

Search... its there .... and no it has nothing to do with "buffalo chips" and more to do with what I feel is a closer fit to an analog cigaratte than most other juices available. Its also a flexable recipe that can be tailored in many ways and makes a great base too. Course it might just be me that enjoys it, spent months developing and tweaking it, but to me the stuff is gold.

Interesting you mention this, as I made up some recipes that tried to replicate Tribeca (one ingredient was TA). I knew they would need to steep, but still wasn't crazy about 'em. Funny thing is, over time they have really grown on me. Now it's time to go search for buffalobacco.

Oh no worries blueser. I know it was all in fun. Im not that sensitive... heck if buffalochips made for an actual good vape Id likely try it, but I cant imagine that.

Vegas if you have the ingredients then go for it. I know tobacco absolute has been very hard to find. Ive got no experience with Tribeca tho so I cant help you compare or give a reference point for that.
