TOBH owners question

So I snagged a TOBH clone from a user on the forum here last week. I've been dripping and building for a bout 4 years now and have never run into anything like what's going on with this. Right now I have dual parallel coils made of 28g in it, it's ohming out to .43 and rolling amazing. The only thing throwing me off here is the top cap/heat sink, the thing is hot as holy hell, like surface of the sun hot. It gets this hot after maybe 3-5 seconds of dragging on it, I know the coils I have put off a ton of heat but I'm wondering if this is normal. I've run very similar builds in other attys even small chamber attys with no where near this much heat getting to the caps.

If this is normal then I'll just remember to not touch the top cap xD if it's not any suggestions on the cause or how to improve the heat without losing vape quality would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm surprised to hear that you're getting so much heat on the top. One of the things I love about the TOBH is the top because mine runs so cool. I'm currently vaping it with dual coils at around .48 and no problems. I keep two air holes opened on mine are you running it completely closed?

run it wide open. Also make sure the coils are not too high up on the posts and the coils are not too close to the walls. The only time mine got toasty was when my coils were a little high and close to the wall. A simple press down on each coil should help.

Not normal. One of your posts is likely making contact with the top cap.

Either the dual parallels are too thick and your screws are sitting too high. Or it's a crap clone that wasn't made to the right specs.
