tonsil stones!

hey everyone!
ive been vapin for about three months straight and i noticed that im getting a nasty crappy taste in the back of my mouth im not sure if its from the analog build up in my lungs trying to release. anyway, is anyone have problems with tonsil stones?? im not sure if vaping is causing it but ive been getting them lately and its is sick!!!

Gosh, since you started with your PV, you had jaw pain, shortness of breath, worms and now, tonsil stones (?). I wonder what your health was like before the vape?

No, sloth isn't crazy. I've been having more tonsil stones pop out too. I think it's from the vapor getting back in the tonsils and loosening them up. I'm not sure whether that's good or bad yet!

And I had tonsil stones before I stated using my PV.

They're little stinky balls of bacteria that build up in your tonsils. It's relatively common.

I get these too, every now and then. For me, usually come along with ear infections / ear itchiness... now sure how that works, though? Smoke cigs and vape, and they still seem sporadic, as if vaping or smoking does not play a role with them. Dig em out with your tongue. Tastes like crap, but totally worth it to get out of the discomfort. Just my 2 cents!

My grandmother used to dig them out with a broom straw...I used a flattened blunted bamboo skewer. Gargle hard with diluted Hydrogen Peroxide too...helps loosen them up. People with really perforated tonsils are more prone to them and starchy foods really get impacted. I wont even eat corn tortilla chips anymore just for that fact and I haven't had a problem with it for years. If you keep getting the smell of a rotten tooth but you have no cavities...it will probably be the cause.

haha i know ive had lots of problems huh, i think im starting to become a hypocondriac or whateva. i hate tonsil stones, it's like having crap in your mouth! wat a pain in the booty.

After about 4 months of vaping I got my first tonsil stone about 3 weeks ago and been getting them weekly.

Does it feels like a something in the upper part of the throat? Like some obstruction or hair stuck there? If so I could confirm it's directly related to vaping. I don't vape anymore because I developed a nasty acid reflux, cought and all juices have a sour taste and even pure PG/VG taste "funny".
I'm waiting to recover and will investigate later what's wrong. I didn't vape today at all (just smoked) and feel ok.

Get some acidophilus tablets. BEFORE I started vaping I had what your are referring to as tonsil stones (white postules in back of throat that can be gently lifted out but will re-occur). I don't have tonsils by the way. I did smoke & drink coffee all day. I believe the natural balance in your body gets out of whack and I cured it by eating yogurt with acidophilus or taking acidophilus tablets until it goes away which won't take very long. At the time I also had a sore nasty looking tongue. I did brush regularly and don't have dental problems. I did go to the doctor, was tested for strep which was negative, and they had no idea how to treat it. I use an inhaler that causes a yeast infection in the throat if you don't rinse each time but it wasn't that either. The acidophilus tablets can be bought in any drug store in the vitamin section. It really does work.

Holy cow. That is crazy gross. I can take a lot of stuff but that just grosses me out. Looks like little teeth growing. sick.

I think I have the same thing from vaping. I've been vaping for about 6 months now and I get that nasty, infected gum taste (I know it sounds horrible) in the back of my throat accompanied by ridiculous amounts of phlegm every so often. I'm going to try the probiotic thing and I also started gargling with peroxide. Hopefully it goes away, it's REALLY disgusting.

My daughter gets them this time of year. It's from post nasal drip due to allergies the Dr. has said. Thank you for the acidophilus idea! I will tell her.

I dont think I get these- BUT anytime I feel that my breath might be bad, or that I get a soreish throat or lots of drainage, I gargle with salt water- Salt kills alot of bacteria, and I prefer it over peroxide-

I also had my tonstils removed years ago- due to massive infections I continued to have. it was few years before I started smoking. I think I was 12 or 13.

I use acidophilus in the form of PB8, you can get them at the grocery store or any health food store. Works wonders, always a good idea, especially with compromised immune systems, when ill, just after taking antibiotics, you can never have too many good bacteria

Just a question since I'm an ancient, have they stopped taking tonsils out as a regular procedure. It seemsz that everyone got theirs removed when I was a youngster?

Hmm, interesting. I used to get them a lot when I was a kid and on into my teens, but haven't had any since. I'll be curious to see if vaping causes them to pop up again.
