I have a Joy mega 520...which is like a 510 just a bit longer and longer battery life it is the thrid e cig a got...the best of my stock batteries. I have the PCC with it and thinking of giving it to my Daughter for Xmas...becuase I dont realy use it anymore..now that Im dripping with the big battery mods. I think she will make good use of it. She's 2o by the way and has been smoking for several years.

:pI dont like the LED ethier......and I think it uses a lot of the battery energy....I have tried an atuo battery and I like that you dont have to push a button....thats all I liked about it! I use a Silver Bullet now and I am waiting on my Reo juice fed mod.

The LED certainly uses some battery power, but I suspect it really is negligible. I upgraded from a 510 to the BB because the battery life on the 510 is really abysmal. I would have tried the silver bullet but it was out of stock at the time i wanted to order so I haven't yet entered to world of high voltage vaping lol. From what I understand the SB brings out a bit more flavor from the juice? What do you think?

The REO is a beautiful piece of work I cant decide whether i like the metal ones or the wood ones better!

Juice is really a matter of taste. Go to a vendor here that has 5ml bottles, and buy a bunch of them in different flavors. Almost all of them have a Marlboro flavor, but you could end up liking banana cream pie. I think for the most part we just THINK we like the taste of tobacco because of all those years associating it with the instant satisfaction of smoking. That seems to pass.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll be successful...at least you want to quit. I was an accidental quitter.

I like my SB very much....not sure about the favor thing.....I tried to get a tobacco flav i liked at first to...but I gave it up...excetp for RY4...its very good..but really does not taste like a reg cig...and you will find probably, like many others after a while, that is a good thing!
The Reo rules...just got it. Now I need two Reo Grands. Just which the on off switch on it was easier to turn on and off with one hand...that way I would use the switch everytime I put it in my pocket.

Hello,

My experience selling e-cig to newbies whom later goes back to analog is because they make the same mistakes :-

1) like to started with most economic mini e-cigarettes (looks like real cigarette).
It is not easy to convince them to buy better models such as 510 or pen style.
Resulting, they complain battery drains off quick, trouble of refilling, cartridge dries up quick.

2) Expecting e-cig flavours to taste like real cigarette. Very disappointed ! Especially for heavy smokers.

I started using e-cig around June, because I hate the analog cigarette smell on my clothing, hand, and mouth.

Worst, our country is hot everyday, I can't smoke analog while driving with windows closed air-conditioned.

After using e-cig, I can puff in my office and car. No more bad smells!

Hey all... I just became aware of the existence of e-cigs only a few days ago when I came across a "Smoking Everywhere" kiosk at a local mall... I wasn't too impressed with their product (and it was CRAZY expensive!) but it sparked my interest enough to do some internet research...

I wasn't so lucky! Stubbornness got the best of me. I'm still pretty happy about quitting analogs though =)

I first thought I wanted my PV to look like, or close to, a real cigarette. What I found after buying and using one. . .

The townspeople stoned me in the streets.
The battery didn't last for crap.
I was changing the battery very frequently.
The cartridges didn't last very long either.

The only positive thing to come out of my original purchase. . .it showed me the possibilities. So, in my opinion, it was money well spent.

I just gave everybody in my family that smokes, either a RIVa or an eGo for Christmas presents. Two batts each, different colors, so they can tell which is what. And a couple C-E2 XL cartos. Also, in the box was an ECF business card. If they decide they want any of that other crap they can get it themselves. And an invite to stop by my house if they needed anything. . .instructions, or juice.

I walk out of my house everyday for work with 1 PV batt w/E2 XL, and a spare carto. That's it! And that's all I want. . .I don't wanna mess with a bunch of stuff.

Cheers,
otrpu

M401/402 is my regular PV. I would say if you decide on M4xx go with M401. It's the size of a 110 cigarette and has 20% longer battery life than M402. And I recommend manual batteries. But I'll say this is not a PV that will give you consistent TH or huge clouds of vapor. It is a good tasting PV and a pleasure to handle. I smoked Marlboro Reds for the first several decades but eventually ended up on lights and ultralights (1.5+ PAD) and my love was super slim Capri Ultralights. And I can mess with the tiny carts (that require a paper clip to push up the inner cart for filling) at work and at home. So the M401 is a good fit for me. It might not be for you.

I have not used the 510 much but based on mah I would say its standard battery has shorter battery life than 401 but longer than 402, less taste than 401, more TH than 401. Larger cartridge too, cartomizers are more available for 510 than 401, expansion options are available for it (mega batteries, or the fat long-lasting Ego batteries and charger) etc. Cart is harder to pull off than 401's but easier to fill.

KR808D-1 (Vapor4Life Vapor King) - nice unit. I like it with the Coolcarts from Vapor4life (which I think generically are Boge cartos), I do not like it with lower resistance cartos like Vapor4Life Premiums (they were way too hot on my lips). I also thought the Coolcarts had a more cigarette like drag, and the premiums had a looser drag? Lots of flavor and vapor. This is a dedicated 2-piece model (uses cartomizers). I enjoy it sometimes - gives a nice hit but actually a bit more than I need and I prefer the tighter drag of a cart.

I started with the SE brand and it was OK at first but I went back to analog shortly after. On my second attempt I tried Cloud9 products because I could use the SE attys on them. Slightly better but still not what I was looking for and again drifted back to analog. Then I tried again. Third time was a charm. I found the 510 with the button to activate. My dream came true. I haven't looked back since. I have upgraded to the eGo and Riva battery. I can go 2 days on one battery and I can vape mt head off. I picked up some adapters so I can use my SE and Cloud9 attys on my 510 setup and I also figured a way to mod the carts to make them work better and much easier to refill.

I don't know why I never see them mentioned here my fav vape so far is from Smoketip.com. It is a 808d which is about size of 100, great vapor, and throat hit. I sure many will say 510 is better but I find batt life much longer. Smoketip also has carts for much cheaper than most, 10 cartomizers for around $18. I had a couple bad ones out of order of 100 and emailed them. They returned email in 20 mins and made good on bad carts. Battery's life time warranty. My daughter and I have used 3 batts for a week with no problems.

I am totally new to the whole ecig thing, ordered a starter kit from V2cigs, which will arrive tomorrow. I've been doing alot of research and have tons of questions that I will try to post one at a time in the appropriate topics. So, for starters, where are some places to order the 5ml bottles that have good taste good and produce good vapor (also, cheap would be good! lol)?

Why can't I view this Comprehensive introduction to vaping video? I am new to the forum (this is my first post), so that might have something to do with it. It says that I have the wrong viewing privileges and the video is private. HELP PLEASE??!!

Same issue... lots of great info, but would love to check out this vid too.
