This thread has been one of the most enjoyable threads I've ever read. I've learned a lot and, being new to all this myself, I have found some very interesting opinions to contemplate over.

I caught on to ecigs the very first day and loved it so much, I went out and bought a second one just to have the 'extra parts'.

I have a no-named brand I bought from my local tobacco shop and believe it's a M4xx something. Battery life is only a couple hours long but the carts are a dream to fill. A paper clip will push up the inner 'cup' with the 'wick' in it and it takes 10 drops to fill it.

I love the automatic battery because I am constantly fiddling with the whole unit as I vape. I can bite down on the cart and 'puff' while I'm typing this post. I don't think I would want to be 'pinned down' with a manual button to turn my PV on and off. I prefer the freedom of movement, myself.

I'm now looking for someone who sells black licorice flavor. I've never really liked the tobacco taste of analogs and now, I don't ever have to taste tobacco again with all the other wonderful flavors out there to choose from.

I really have to thank the Lord for enlightening me to this alternative method to 'smoking'. The analogs were such a nasty, dirty, stinking, filthy, rotten thing to do.
Next is to try to beat the nicotine addiction...

I only wish I could pin down the model of PV I own.

That's my 2 cents...

Supposedly prosmokestore.com is the number #1 rated from what I can see. I have a titan 510, and yes it does vape well. But it only lasts about 2 cigarettes worth. They claim ( Reality speaking) that you get 18 cigarettes from one charge, hard to beleive, because my eliquid is gone after 2

LOL, #1 rated by who?????

It is a rebranded mini m403. If you really like it despite the short battery life, etc., you can get refill stuff much more cheaply from Litecigusa. OTOH, if you read the forum and find something else you prefer, at least prosmokestore supposedly has a 30 day money back guarantee.

my progress was with the regular 510, no fancy gadgets, just extra atomizers, extra carts, and a dozen small diffrent juices to try.
i found i liked high nic for throat hit, and the fruity flavours. i dont like the tobacco flavours because they never truly taste like burning tobacco. then i got a case the charge a the extra battery while i was out, then i tried cartomizers, they are diffrent from diffrent suppliers, so dont judge them all based on one supplier or batch. then i tried my first big battery mod, indulgence 2 from eastmall... it broke after a few weeks, the button stoped pushing fully... then i started dating and my partner smoked, and i started smoking again due to financial strain (weird i know, ecigs are cheaper in the long run, but i wasnt working due to a car accident where i was hit on my bicycle, and u cant really bum ecig parts)

anyways. gonna try the ego-t, should be good. dont want to drip constantly, i hated that.

Same issue... lots of great info, but would love to check out this vid too.
Same with me. I am brand new, a newbie, and I can't watch the video. I have a lot of questions. I can't afford to order a lot of products that won't provide me with the vapor and throat hit that I require. I have been smoking menthol cigarettes (kool, virginia slims) for over 35yrs. I have to quit for my health and I want to quit. I need any help available. Please post me some suggestions.

I'm a long time menthol smoker, 1-2 pks a day more years than I care to think about.

I quit using a Joye ego that I got at Liberty Flights. Riva is similiar and cheaper

Riva lite bundle 29.99
Box boge 2.0 cartomizers
2 drip tips

Total will be about $45.00

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

Then you need juice. About 30 ml. Small bottles to try different flavors but about 30 ml so you won't run out. I researched juice for the brand I smoked (newport) and saw nhaler recommended a lot so I ordered juice from him. Got a bottle of nuport in 24 mg & 12. Figured I could mix them to see what would work for me. 24 was perfect, as was the juice (I got lucky). Within a week or two I had my last cigarette.

You could do that. But honestly, a good disposable is around $9-$12 plus shipping. $10 or $15 more and you have a kit that's really going to last you and you'll get a better vape.

I got a disposable from Apollo and that's what got me vaping. They offered freebies and you paid shipping here on the board in Nov-Dec. It was a great disposable and that's what convinced me that vaping would work for me. But it is disposable, and it wasn't my favorite juice ever.

OK, I'm confused about something. All that I've read about the 510 makes me feel like this is the ecig for me. But, I now don't know which 510 to order. Does it make a difference? As I posted elsewhere, I found a site that has a deal on the 510 vaporizer, that includes:
510 Disposable Vapor includes :

1 x Automatic Battery
1 x Atomizer
3 x Prefilled carts in 18mg. Choose your flavor in the options.
1 x USB Charger
1 Instruction Card

*As these are disposable there is no warranty*

*The USB charger included with this kit is for charging the disposable 510 batteries only. It will not work with other 510 style batteries.*

Our Price: $12.95
Sale Price: $9.95
You save $3.00
Is this good or what?
Help please!

Rsomer, I never had a disposable kit, but Litecig is a reputable vendor and if you just want to give it a try, go for it! However, I would get an inexpensive starter kit--if you don't like it, you can sell it on classifieds.

The best prices at the moment can be found here:

myPVshop Electronic Cigarettes - The Joye510 Electronic Cigarette

Good vendor, selling Joye knock-offs made by Farsee, for half the price of the original. If you want a ciglike battery, order a 510 kit. If you want a fat, longer-lasting battery, order an FS eGo kit.

Also, get some cartomizers that you can fill with your own eliquid.

myPVshop Electronic Cigarettes - The Joye510 Electronic Cigarette

And don't forget a bottle or two of eliquid...

If you decide that you like vaping, you can always upgrade.

Good luck.

Well I ordered the 510 Disposable Vapor and I'm gonna try that first. Thank you for the info on myPVshop Electronic Cigarettes - The Joye510 Electronic Cigarette. I will try that next when I get some more money. I just hope the sale lasts until then.

Hello from nova,
So, i got what could be the same start as you i found out about vaping and then got a disposable. It is not as good as the real deal also most cost the price of three bottle's of ejuice. Atmosusa is just across the bay from us. He has rather good prices it ships to me in 2 days. He has the ego 510, ego-t, ego kit, and a few others. He was out of a juice one time and sent me the same mg but gave me 2 to sub and only charged for the one. If your ever up near Fairfax i would love to bring all my goodies i have gotten and let you give them all a whirl. A co-worker smoke Newport 100's and even he was taken but how well they hit and all the endless pro's to owning one. He even said he wants me to come buy and show him places to buy from and show his wife so maybe she can get one to. I guess if your going to try it don't waste your money when you can just invest that $15 to 35 in a starter kit. Looking back i wish i had at least just jumped into the vaping pool rather then slowly getting wet. But if your want to stop by and have a go of it just drop me a line i am always up for letting others try.

I too was hoping to find something that looked just like a T-cig which very much limited my available choices.
Then I saw a post somewhere that suggested an e-cig that looked like a T-cig invited unwanted scrutiny from rabid anti-smokers. This made me realize that whatever I chose would have drawbacks so the smart thing for me to do would be to concentrate on the performance of the various hardware choices.
