This is EXACTLY what happened to me at the 6-8 week mark. I don't think it's the nic. I think it's that your body is finally rid of a lot of the chemicals in cigs, and you're feeling the pain now. There have been remarks as to cigs having MAOI properties, and I believe that. That's the only explanation I have as to why the sudden onset of ALMOST panic. It lasted well over a week for me, and it eventually subsided. It's not just the nic in cigs that we're addicted to. There are PLENTY of other chemicals in them, that I'm 100% sure are as addictive as nicotine.

YES! This is exactly how I've been feeling. I've never had anxiety attacks but I'm feeling as if I am having them. I am the most mellow person in the world and it's throwing me for a loop.

Just came across these articles on other additives to cigarettes that are addictive.

5. Do additives make tobacco more addictive?

I came across some juices in my collection that are 10MG. Keeping one set up handy with that loaded and hoping this will help take the edge off of the crazyness going on for me!

Most usually start at 18 or 24 nic level at least for the first few months.

You are experiencing the classic withdrawal symptoms from cigarettes and the 7300 chemicals they produce.

Sorry I don't have a link handy on this but perhaps another will see this post and drop one in.

Don't worry all is normal, u will get through it, same as 20,000,000 others have so far world wide.

do you try to control how much you are vaping? I've been at 6mg for a long time and I'm happy with it, but it may be because I chain vape. I pretty much have an ecig in my hand most of the time. (I don't know if that is good or bad for me, and I don't care - but I feel fine :))

also some people keep a higher nic around to take some hits off when they really feel like they want a cig...

I also started out 3 yrs ago at 15 mg...all of a sudden I was getting sick to my stomach when vaping (too much nicotine). I realized it was due to my sudden switch to chain vaping (when I discovered the plethora of vendors and flavors. I dropped down to 8mg then to 4-6 mg. As others have said, if needed-I will take a couple puffs on a higher nicotine as needed but it seems to work.
As far as the anxiety, I would agree again with everyone else-withdrawl of the other chemicals in cigarettes.

Good luck and don't give up!

I chain vape also which is why at first I thought I was getting too much nic! Guess that isn't the case.

When i completely stopped smoking in favour of vaping, i gone thru 14 days with a flu like sensation, very bad and confusing. I think its a lot related with lowering nic from smoking to vape and other chemicals on cigarettes. I adjusted to around 18mg/5ml day, not much problem after.
I discovered recently that each cig can hold up to 20mg nicotine, but your body just absorbs around 1mg.. considering vaping, i think a lot less is absorbed, so, even going high nic, you end lowering consumption.

HI All,

Did some research on this before I posted but I'm not really finding the answer out there. Here goes.....

I am about 2 months into going cold turkey from Virginia Slim Lights and into vaping. The first month was a breeze. I felt great, proud of myself. Sense of taste came back. An all around beautiful thing :)

But now I'm at the 2 month mark and the past 2ish weeks I've been feeling anxious (never had that before in my life), cranky (MEAN!) and a little crazy!:( Thought that would subside and I am doing my best to ride it out...but I feel like it's not going away.

I'm not sure what to do. Is it that I am not getting enough nic? Am I getting too much? Is it not the nic at all but the other chemicals from smoking?

Short of picking cigarettes up (which I do NOT want to do), I'm at a loss for what to do about this. Thought I would look here for thoughts/advice.

ETA: Forgot to mention that my hands shake now too :(
I smoked 1-2 PAD when I gave vaping another shot(successfully this time). I started at 36 mg/ml and Ego's/clearo's(first two months after "quitting"). I still cheated constantly. Went to a vv/vw mod and cartos, dropped nic down to 24 mg, only cheated in times of high stress or while waiting on parts to ship. After 2 months on this rig, I had completely quit even wanting a cig much less actually smokin one. I later graduated up to rba's/rta's, and when I did, I dropped to 18 mg. Now its been over 9 months since I smoked a cig and I'm still at 18. For me though, it was all about device/delivery... the cravings/withdrawal symptoms didnt quit till I went to 1.7/1.5 ohm carto VW setup. I felt the same calm and satisfying feeling a cig would give me from the new setup(FINALLY:)). Now, I can tell if I need to swap coils/batts because I dont get that sensation if coil is too old or batt is below 3.8v, no satisfaction. Plus my GF says she can tell when it's time to change my coil because Im cranky, lol

My ADV I keep 2 tanks going one with 6 and one with 12. If I find I need to vape more I hit the 12. Don't overthink it. :vapor:

GET A SECOND TANK.
Put some high nic in it like 24mg; and use it occasionally.

But keep your low strength tank going for your main vape;

especially if you chain vape.

Hmmm . . . I agree with the mixing of 6mg and 12mg juices for a 9mg vape . . .

However, my very first thought when I read your post was, "I wonder what her daily caffeine intake is?"

Smoking probably down-regulated caffeine's effects, so that now you may be much more sensitive to it. (The shaking hands part really struck me.)

Hope something works for you! :)

Funny!!!

I got a nautilus tank about a week or so ago. The hits that I get from that are way more satisfying than those from my evod glassomizer style tanks. I use that on my best battery (which is just an itaste VV at this point). I'm not quite ready for the rebuildable thing yet, but perhaps I should invest in a 2nd nautilus since the vaping is better with it.
