So I got my first vapoizer kit today, and I'm wondering if I made a bag mistake. I ordered the cinnamon danish flavor w/32 mg nicotene. Now it's incredibly harsh and starting to give me a headache. I'm wondering if it coyld be the flavor, the nicotene level or the fact I'm not smoking all the other crap in regular cigarettes. Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure of the mixture, got it from elite vaporworks with their kgo starter kit. Not really prone to allergies at all. I figured for a pack and a half/2 packs a day higher is better...I know better now.

The other thing to consider is the "habit" part of smoking as well as the addiction. At 2 packs a day, there's a good chance that you're wired for the rituals of smoking (the hand / mouth activity) as well as the nicotine requirements. If this is the case, cut back to a medium level (16-18mg) and allow yourself to continue to frequency as you would smoking. Keep the high strength juice for those times when you really need the nicotine, and vape it sparingly.

Also, try different PG/VG ratios and find out what works best for you in terms of TH (throat hit) and flavor.

I also guess that the 24mg I ordered for my wife is gonna cause the same problems?

Not necessarily. My brother started at 24mg and it worked fine for him. He got a nic buzz the first day, but then he's had no problems at that level. I believe it really depends on the person and how they approach vaping.

I was a 1-2pad smoker for 24 years. When my husband and I started vaping, we started at 18mg and found it harsh enough that we quickly went down to 12mg. We stayed at 12mg for awhile with me occasionally reaching for the 18mg when I was having a bad craving for a cig. Now we're both happily vaping away at 6mg.

Nicotine levels can be strange. There's no telling what will work for you and what you smoked and how much you smoked is no indicator of what's going to work for you. However, I have little doubt you're getting too much nic. You might see if you can get some no nic in the same flavor from the vendor to dilute.

YIKES, 32 mg??? Yup, that's probably what's giving you the headache unless you smoked like 3 packs or so a day. 32 mg would definitely give me a headache, especially since I've turned into a chain vaper for a 1.5 PAD smoker..... I'm happiest at about 18-20 mg depending on the vendor or how much flavor/sweetener I'm using when I mix myself in my 24 mg nic liquid......

Smoked 1 PAD very strong analogs (smoker friends would do without rather than smoke mine :D ) and started on 36 mg. In converting a very large # of people some have started with 36, 24, 18, 12...it's all very personal and I've found some smokers will leisurely smoke their analogs while others will aggressively suck back their analog down to the filter. It all depends on:
the brand they smoked, the # of analogs per day and, most importantly, how aggressively they sucked back their stinkies IMHO. Some have also been able to cut back on their nic level by going to a higher voltage. I know 1 convert that worked on the PC and smoked 3 packs per day BUT most of the time the analogs just sat in the ashtray and burned away. Just my experience.

That's a great idea. I'm curious what size to mix with. Think I need another 36 or can I get away with smaller?

I would look to go 50/50 with it. 32mg is much higher than most people vape.

I'm finding I'm sort of like denali_41. I've been vaping for over a year and without trying at all, I'm finding I'm working myself down. I started at 24 and now I'm at 6. The last time I went down was just a few weeks ago. I haven't been trying. It's not a goal. I just found it was making me feel bad.

I started somewhere between Davet165 and you (Cherryblossom). I smoked for 38 years at 1 to 1 1/2 pad. I tried 24mg. at first & got a bad headache. Knew it was the juice right off. I got another bottle of 12mg to mix. That did the trick. Now I just step down each time I get a new order (of 3-30 mls per order). I had one setback & had to start all over. Now I'm back on track and don to 12mg's. When I get to zero, I'll start working harder to cut back on the frequency & length of time I vape.

Try drinking lots of water while you vape.

I agree! I find that I get headaches because I dont drink enough while I vape. Vaping brings on my hot-flashes (not as bad as analogs though). When I get hot flashes, I get dehydrated easily. Of course, unless you've gone thru meno, I dont know if drinking lots of water while you vape makes a difference for headaches or not! I just know for me it makes a huge diference!
