Tooth Implants, Vaping, and Infections

I was wondering if anyone else had a tooth implant and if they have encountered an infection.

I am pretty sure I got an infection from a Prophy-Jet (tool to clean teeth. Dentists shouldn't use that tool around implants!) but I did get it when I started to vape heavy. I was just thinking perhaps it wasn't a good idea to bath a tooth implant (metal post coming from your jaw bone) in nicotine. Then again, it may not be an issue.

I have one implant and have vaped for over a year with no problems.

I got two implants in mid-march. Both the oral surgeon and the dentist say they have healed very well, no infections.

Propylene glycol has good antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antifungal properties.
I would suspect that vaping has a better chance of preventing an infection than causing one.
