Just curious cause I see so much diversity in mods out there.

Is it pocketability?
VV/VW/PR, i.e. user controllable wattage/voltage?
weight, shape?
Prefer tube over box, rather there be something else like the opus that is sort of roundish but has the box mod form factor?
Do you fire with your thumb or your finger when you hold it?

Just curious what you folks would call the "perfect" set of features.

I used to care about LED screens, now adays I realize I couldn't care less. I do need VV/PR and I prefer single batteries. All my mods have to be compatible with tanks too, I just don't like dripping.

So, what's your perfect mod, it doesn't have to exist today but lets try to keep it out of the fantasy world ;)

Function over form, but a little eye candy doesn't hurt.

Would you believe that I had to pay attention to what I do for the thumb or finger question
Guess I push the button with the crook of my finger most of the time.

I don't put two batteries in a tube ... PERIOD. I've seen batteries vaporize the end off a screwdriver, so I know what 6+ volts can do.

The very first thing I look for in a PV now is a High Quality atty connector. Cheap connectors have caused me much frustration with too easily worn out threads and insulators failing prematurely. I'll never buy another PV with a generic/el-cheapo connector.

Over the last year, the feature "feeder" has become very important to me. I have a few bottom feeders and a top feeder. I own several tube mods and I'm aware of the surge tank, but the feature "feeder" otherwise pushes my preference to a box form factor.

Build material: My work and play are rough. Any PV that's going to leave my house needs to be exceptionally durable. So, most of my PVs are metal.

On/Off switch or button lock. I prefer to have a way to shut my mods off. Not all of my PVs have such a feature, but I wish they all did.

Long vape time between charges has also become important to me. I don't really like to carry a bunch of supplies (including extra batteries) with me during the day. I've gotten really spoiled being able to leave the house for 12-15 hours carrying nothing but one device - no extra batts, no bottles of juice, no cartos, nada. Having just one thing and knowing it has enough juice and enough battery on board to go all day offers a lot of freedom.

Three of my feeders are thumb-fire. One of those can also be easily fired index finger depending on which way it is facing. One of my feeders is a ring-finger fire. The next one I'm planning to buy will fire either thumb or index finger depending on which way it is held. I have tube mods that fire index, thumb, or pinky. I guess I don't really have any serious preference as to which digit is necessary to make the device fire.

I have no need of any sort of digital read out. All of my current VV devices have a thumb wheel. One of those thumb wheels came color coded and I color coded another one when I got it. That's enough visual indication for me.

At the bottom of my preferred list of features is regulated voltage and variable regulated voltage. I like having it, but not even 1/3 of my PVs are regulated. -- It's growing on me though. My two most-used PVs are both VV feeders, and my most-used tube mod is 5.0v regulated.

The perfect set of features is a little hard to nail down. I like a lot of different things. I don't think I can really say that one single device could have everything I want or need. On any given day, I'm likely to use half a dozen different PVs. There are reasons for that, and it's slightly more complex than changing flavors... but does come down to the fact that I enjoy a lot of different juices. Some of them I like in this or that atty and some of them I like in this or that carto. Some of them are better at HV, some of them are better at standard voltage with LR... etc etc etc. So, that leads to my having several "perfect set ups" that hardly resemble one another.

When I settled on egos it was the connector I went for the ability to use the most varieties of attys , cartos tanks etc. Then it was a sleek simple functionality with what i later discovered on my own was a dependable device. The simplicity of the EGO and the mid to upper range of performance was why i settled on them and now the twist. Remember this is an opinion:p Dont swat the EGO guy yet:)

well, my personal features, since I didn't participate in my own thread.

I need a variable device, I like to swap juices out every couple of weeks or so and different juices like different wattage.

has to support a tank, I'm a tank junky... I love that I can punch a carto, fill a tank and not have to fiddle with it again for the majority of the day. on heavy vaping days I'll fill a tank three times, most days I'll maybe refill 1 time.

Has to have at least 10 hours of vape time minimum. If it wont make it through a day at work it wont work for me. I don't wanna carry a purse full of gear to be sure I'm not without my smokey snacks before COB.

must be durable. I don't want to have to worry about knocking the thing over on a desk and having it break.

A little style but not too much... I need it to look neat because I like toys but I don't want it to be all Rave Kiddy flashy with LEDs and crap. I prefer they don't light up outside of a "I work" indicator. but a smooth design that looks professional is important.

    Somewhere out there
VV is a must, high quality performance reliability is a must, uses one batt a must, I don't stack. Nice looking is a plus, some bells and whistles like being able to check resistance, batt charge, vape Volt and all that, a must on the unit. Battery life is a plus, I want at least 4 hrs off a charge, 10-12 is heaven. Must take a tank, I am now a tank junkie. I also like a PV with built in protections from shorts, reversed batt placement etc. Light weight would be nice, but can handle heavier units. bnrk

Variable Voltage is a must 3.0 - 6.0 (is there anything that goes higher and if so do you need it that high ?)
510 connection since thats the ONLY thing I have ever used, dont really know much about any other type of connecting device
Must be sleek and stylish looking (Sold my Lavatube for that reason)
Prefer a tank style system so i can fill and go (starting to hate DCT's and love Vivi Novas)
Must hit hard and provide lots of vapor
Tube style for now chrome or stainless steel
