I have a few really favorites flavors that I'm vaping atm. I filled blank cartos (V4L 808s) with these liquids full up the first fill. I vape awhile and and top the carto off well before it is even close to being dry. I have continued to to do this several times. No issues yet and the cartos still taste great and pull smoothly. Seems this might be a good method to extend the life of a carto while continuing to get good vapor and flavor. I would think that the cartos are happy campers when keeping the filler continually wet.

Question: Anyone have any info on how many times I can do this to a carto until I either burn out the atomizer, clean the carto, or just toss it and fill a new one? And...what signs do I look for that may indicate one of these options are imminent?

BTW...what an awesome site. There is so much info here in so many place covering so many topics that it boggles the mind. The webmaster must really be a busy little bee.

You nailed it - as long as the wick remains 'wet', the carto will last. The V4L WOW cartos are a little lower resistance than the Cool Carts - so, they'll burn out faster. If you taste burnt filler - stop vaping immediately drip about 8 drops into the carto, shake, then take a few tugs to see if the burn taste goes away - if it doesn't, time to toss the carto.

Generally speaking, the carto will last a good long time - provided you don't vape it passed its burn point. You'll get used to this in a few weeks. Stop when you encounter the 'off-taste', then refill. Proper care and feeding of your carto will ultimately result in very long life and the coil will ultimately burn out one day...

Btw, LOVE the bazooka chipmunk!

Yep, I use those too and you're right. It took quit a while to figure out the best method but that's how I do it. I can tell when the cart is done also by looking at the filler. I use light colored liquids mainly and when the filler gets that dark color it's getting close to being tossed. Usually a cart will last me about a week and then I throw it in a box with other spent ones. One day I might learn how to clean them so I do keep them just in case.
