Actually guys I'd tend to agree with sarqb.
Say full capacity of an ego-c batt at ~4.2v & cutoff at 3.2v that's ~25% depth of discharge.
Comparing actual usage time based on DoD & assuming 100%DoD=500 cycles then 25% DoD would give you the equivalent runtime of 625 full discharges while 10% DoD would give the equivalent of only 470 full discharges.
Sweet spot seems to be ~50% DoD to give about 750 full discharge hours (which is moot since we can't get more than a 25% DoD) but following the data trend, constantly quickly charging & discharging should give less than 470 cycles worth of usage time or in other words, shorter battery lifespan.

Bottom line........charge your batteries when they cut off.

Did I just write all that?......My brain hurts......I need a vape.....
