Topside Carbon with SS316L

Hi!

I just got a Topside dual Carbon, and want to use some SS316L coils in temp control mode. Can I use the SS316 mode, or do I need to set TCR? If so, what value?

Any help appreciated.

316 and 316L have similar Characteristics. So I would try the mod's Built-In settings for 316 with your 316L coils.

I'm not a good person for TCR suggestions. Because I don't use TC all that much. And Different Mods take Different TCR Numerical Formats. Sorry.

I have a Topside using 316L mesh at .15 ohm and selected "Temp SS". I have to run it at 65 Watt and 500 degrees F to get my happy spot. Same build/top on a DNA or ArticFox would be around 45 watt and 380 degrees F. So it seems it's a little off but usable for me without doing TCR.

In checking my order info it is the "DOVPOx TVC Topside 90W Squonk Box Mod – SpEdition Black/Gold w/TS Sq Bottle". So I guess it's the regular Topside.

The TC on the Topside is not the worst, im using it also and can live with it.
Ofc dna/arctic fox beats it, but it’s not the worst.
