I tried that with my NP (Nurse Practitioner) and she said that nicotine does the same thing as caffeine. It Increases heart rate, constricts blood vessels and increases blood pressure, among other things.
I'll agree there may be benefits with caffeine, and maybe a few with nicotine as well. it's the delivery system that sucks.
I won't disagree about them being similar, but you also have to remember that nicotine is the new kid in town, relatively speaking. Coffee and alcohol have been around a lot longer, with tobacco doing more "damage" and being an easy target. I won't delve into the demographics, but the $$ made from C&A is probably substantially more than tobacco. Follow the money trail.
(Yes, I know, alcohol kills more people one way or the other, but that's a whole other kettle of fish.)

I've read through the thread and applaud all of the suggestions; however, when the time comes and it is put to council for debate the one and only thing that will count will be the number of vapers in council chambers demanding that the public be allowed to speak and that there be proper community consultation.

Well I clicked on Farmer Bric's lick to Ontario Today on CBC only to discover that the Toronto Board of Health was having a meeting to vote and decide the issue to send it to council as is that was at 12h15 the "hearing" was at 13h00.

Got there in time made a quick comment to the media as I was looking for the committee room which I later apologized for; nonetheless the statement I commented on was a lie...... it might make the blooper reel. It was a GWB moment....I thought out loud.

The members of the vaping industry that were there did a fabulous job as did Rachael Coffee in the face of a foregone conclusion. I was not prepared but spoke from the heart as did everyone who represented our interests.

We can affect the outcome but need to be there and in force.

I heard on AM640 today that Council has voted to ban vaping in all places of business. What does this mean for Vape shops and lounges? This is the same thing that happened when the smoking ban came in, even shops that sold only cigars or cigarettes were no smoking by law. So does this mean we won't be able to vape in vape shops anymore? This also kinda kills VapeCan. Maybe do it outside of GTA boarders next time.
