Just for the record: I completely loathe all "pride parades" and I especially hate the local paper's coverage every year. It always - always - features a blatantly stereotypical picture of some flaming drag queen. I have written at least 5 letters of "protest"... but they continue. For being such a "progressive" town and an "upstate mecca", they seem to want to keep things back in the 60s. Grr.
