Yeah you stand to save a lot of money if you switch. I would have spent $30,000 on cigarettes over the past seven years if I hadn't found vaping. I've spent perhaps $2000 instead.
That's what I need to save money, I want disability kind of hard to justify things cigarette prices now

I need to do save money 50 years old on disability with kids in the house. I don't have money come the end of the month. That's savings I could use!!!

Here's a good deal on that pod device (and here in the US):
asMODus Flow Pod Device Kit
Get a couple extra pods too. Here's a super deal on juices (e-liquid) Use the code at checkout... total price only $4.44 and includes shipping!
Welcome Sample Pack - 4 Bottle Bonanza Extravaganza
I like 65VG/35PG but I use a different device... might need 50/50 for the little pod.
It's really not much to spend compared to cigs. The throat thing is very common when switching from cigs... takes some getting used to (and the device you tried is probably way overkill for you) Always sip water while vaping. Draw the vapor in your mouth, then into your lungs... it's called MTL. Filling a pod is easy and if you have a couple you can try different flavors more easily (I like tobacco flavors in the morning, then switch to fruit/desert flavors) You will need 12mg nicotine (the highest choice for the juice deal I linked to) or more at first (find a good 18mg for times when you really need it... for me it was mornings) Don't get caught up in the "salts" vs "freebase" thing... you can use either.

Just got my blu this afternoon. Charged it up and tried it, seems to work very well. I have one more pack of cigarettes left so it came just in time. I'm looking forward to using this. I suppose from smoking I can't breathe in normally so I'm chocking on it, I assume that will get better in time.
Keep at it. I think some newcomers are wary of it and develop different inhalation techniques that they may not even be aware of. Good thing is that you really only need to get it into your mouth to absorb the nic. Gl!

@Troyk88, two things: First, you won't necessarily have to seek out 100%VG juice to address your itchy mouth/throat problem (if, that is, it turns out that PG is causing it). I suffer from something similar from PG, and 65VG/35PG e liquid takes care of it.

Second, when you inhale, be sure to breathe in slowly and steadily, rather than taking a quick, sharp puff, as you would with a cigarette. That might help with the coughing. And, if push comes to shove, you don't even need to inhale to get the nicotine, as @r77r7r already mentioned.

    Welcome and good luck!
