So I've been happily vaping on my Vapor King (KR808) for the past few months now, but I was looking into something more hard-core and less cigarette-looking, and I stumbled across the Screwdriver MKII. As the Screwdriver is almost $100 I'd like some opinions on how they compare to the KR808 as far as vapor production/flavor/ease of use, etc.

Thanks

Think of it as a battery pack - it can hold a much bigger battery than an e-cig that looks like a ciggy. The vapour/flavour etc. will depend what on what atomiser you use (with the appropriate adaptor). You could even use a KR808 on it I believe, in which case it would just be the same as what you're using now but with a battery that lasts longer. Something like a 510 LR produces lots of vapour, at the expense of shorter battery life. Unless I'm out of date on this as standard they come with a 901 atomiser, which are reasonable performers. I'd also consider something like a Joye Ego (TW call them a Tornado) which has the advantages of a big battery but should be cheaper to buy.

I have a MKII, and it is an excellent mod, But I agree with Papa Lazarou, that for the amount of money involved, the eGO is a better choice, except for one thing - the price of the batteries - the battery in the MKII is much cheaper. Quite frankly, my MKII is used very little. If you are in the market for a mod, consider either the REO or the Phidias, both of which are much better than either the MKII or the eGO. They are bottom feeding mods that have very large batteries (18650), which last me about 2 days, they eliminate the need for a cartridge or cartomizer, and have a dispenser bottle that will hold enough juice to get you through a 24 hour period.

Enlighten me, what is a BB?

http://altsmoke.com/starterkit/bb/thebb.html

It is a small mod made by altsmoke. I was looking at the indulgence for it's 6v capabilites with extender cup.Someone suggested I look at the Omega and SB from. altsmoke. I was told the build quality is far superior. So I did me research and decided the BB with the silver vein finish was the mod for me. One reason is that i already had a bunch of 14500 batts to use with it and lr attys.

This is not my first mod. I started with a ghetto juice box, ego, hello 016, bartleby, DSE-905V4. I wanted something that would be more reliable than the mods i have. I really wanted a mechanical switch, but I am taking a chance with the BB.

Sometimes getting 2 attys batts and charger doesn't make the PV any better. Build quality is very important. I think a mod should offer versatility as well. I think as long as you don't make snap decision you will do alright. We all have different needs and wants. It was a good idea to make a thread and get educated. good luck i hope you get the mod that works best for you. I only have experience with 510's 901's and 801's. Tried an KR8 carto and thought it was garbage, but i'm sure it wasn't one that's deemed the good one.

The MKII was my first pv, not counting the cheap mall bought kit. I really liked it and it worked well and if you get an adaptor you can use the 808 on it. With a 808D and a 510 adaptor it works as well as any other 3.7 volt mod and its built like a truck, even had it fall on the road and got ran over and it still worked. The battery lasts all day unless i use it with a low res atty or something. I started building my own boxmods so now it sits in the glovebox as a spare but was a great mod to get me started and was well worth the $100. Also figure in the price of the 4 atomizers,510 adaptor and the 2 batteries and charger that it comes with and its not really a bad deal.

Hey TheBulla, if you want one that you can use your kr8 stuff on go to vapornine.com and try the defender it like the ego or riva with a 750 mah battery and the vapor is even better than the kr8 I have both the kr8 and the defender and all I use is the defender!

The Defender is the same thing as the Riva 901 at Liberty Flights for 29.99, just bought one myself.

My MKII is my fav of all my PVs. The size, feel in the hand, consistency of drags, and EXTENDED batt. are all reasons that this is my favorite.

If you get the MKII:
Make sure you get the batts made for the device. I wasted money on the bright orange ones from China. Also if you need an extra cap cover, they are available by purchasing an extra lanyard (comes with it even if they don't tell you it does - its in the pictures but not in the write-up about the product).

My list of PVs includes: MKII, SilverBullet, LittleSister Variable voltage, 3 wetboxes, all of the V4L batts old and new, 510 reg batts, eGo,

I have a feeling that the MKII may be "tied" with the LS...but I just got her so I don't know yet. I am now a E2 carto user and think/hope that the LS will be amazing with these cartos (from what I'm hearing and personally observing with the one day of experience I have with her).

Regardless...vape on!!
