Dan you post multiple pics of your mods, you take novel approaches, you answer questions, provide feedback, you offer to help.

You're one of the good guys. :thumb:

Am I missing something here? Or did you promptly delete both those videos.

And whether or not the switch design was completely yours, the point is folks here were willing to share, willing to try to help you. Answering your questions, making adjustments. I guess because their time was freely given it had no worth.
I don't want to back and forth on this... I deleted those videos because I was advised to do so when I opened Vapor Moon. All of the help I had received from members was greatly appreciated, but I wasn't able to use that info since it didn't work for my application.

Let's see if the other people who have designed there own touch type of switch will post exactly what they use and there schematics on what they put into their mods. The switch you all are working on here became a dead issue for me since it would not work in my application. And, so I guess you are saying that I didn't help others and share my ideas. I'm sorry you feel that way.

Well when I saw the website that I originally posted all I was thinking is how it might help a few of us tinkerers that needed something simple to build...that's it. I wasn't looking to make anything to sell and definitely did not want to get anyone bent out of shape about it. If I throw an idea out there it is to plant a seed of thought or maybe help someone along. They take it and run with it...I dont care either way. I know most of what I come up with is has usually been done before anyway, but got buried in the vast pages of threads along the line. Now days by the time something goes up for sale its been outdated anyway. Electronics is just not one of my strong points...hell...if I can get something to make sparks I'm happy.

I do appreciate and enjoy people like Scubabatdan and others helping and kicking around ideas that are not to far from reach of the average schmo like me. I have noticed the short time I have been here that some people are very humble about sharing info...and some act like they hold all the patents of chit. Having been involved in many prototype projects at my previous employers I can also respect the hard work, time and money it takes to bring an idea to the production stage.

My intent was not to open any old wounds or steal any ideas...so if I did I apologize.

Hey, keep doing like you do. This thread & the people in it have helped me along in my quest for a touch switch. Sometimes people disagree. It happens. If you have no stake in the disagreement, let it run it's course & keep on keeping on.:) Trust me, I'm happy to know there is someone here that can be as far "out there" as I am!:)

On a side note, ScubabatDan, have you ever tried Carmichaels(it's called something else now & the name has escaped me)? I called them not too long ago, they said they don't have a browsable 'showroom' like they used, but do stock quite a bit. I'm going to call today & see if they have a MOSFET that I can use.

Yes they are down by the fire station, across the road from the civic center. I have used them for items I can not get at rat shack.
