TPA Cola

Hi All,

im kinda confused..
still new to the DIY but most of my stuff, I have like 6 bottles but havent seen this happen to any other bottle


sorry the rotation is messed up but you get the point.

Basically right now, the bottle is
11ml vg
+ 4ml TPA cola
+ 1ml TPA Sweetner

im trying to "steep" it by putting it in a cup of hot water, but it doesnt look like it's doing much but making the liquid thinner.. which i dont really want either

Huh, that doesn't make any sense to me. Never had a problem getting TPA's Cola to mix... (The sweetener and flavoring will thin VG, it's just what happens.) Never used that much sweetener, but I can't see it being an issue with mixing.

What does your VG taste like?

my VG is just generic Life Brand (cdn company) that I bought from the pharmacist.

I havent even tasted this stuff yet..

it even looks kinda "milky"

If the TPA Cola is the one with the triacetin base, I believe it will separate with all VG. From the Perfumers Apprentice website:

Triacetin is a flavor carrier used widely throughout the Food Industry.
It has been rated as GRAS (generally recognized as safe),
and inhalation tests have shown no outstanding issues.

However, it is not as water soluble as propylene glycol, and
it can separate out in some blends.
We recommend that you experiment with small amounts before purchasing
in large sizes, just to see if it will work with your application.

That's just a temporary effect. The viscosity returns to normal after the liquid cools.

i have mixed a lot of TPA Cola and TPA Cola Syrup and have never had this happen. Maybe you got the non PG flavoring, which contains a triacetin base, as deej6690 mentions above.

I ordered: fl-205_sz1 Cola Flavor-4ml which is the regular cola..

i stuck the bottle in the fridge to see if that makes it better
but thanks, i'll see what happens

Hmm...that IS weird. Maybe you got the Tri-Cola by mistake? If you purchased it from TPA directly, I'd contact Linda (owner of TPA). She's fabulous at answering any questions or concerns her customers have.

You were absolutely correct. I ordered the right one, but I guess they packaged the wrong one.

WOW! So I emailed Linda basically right after I wrote this post
and she called me back within like 10 mins and was SUPER SUPER awesome

she explained the details for me, and I'll be doing some tests with/for her too

I got the right flavour, but I kinda screwed it up with all that VG i put in, and it caused it to seperate the flavour.
totall NEWBB is me lol
