TPA RY-4 Double aniseed taste

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been covered in the past.

I mixed my first DIY e-liquid last night. I did a 50/50 single flavour 10 percent mix of TPA RY-4 Double. Throat hit and vapour production were great.

The only problem is that my RY-4 Double tastes like aniseed. Reminds me of Ouzo and licorice. No caramel or vanilla. I hate it.

Is it supposed to taste like this?

Also, I'm working and living in Malaysia at the moment and there aren't many flavour vendors to choose from. They tend to buy bulk from overseas, then re-bottle with their own labels. I bought it from one of these local vendors.

Could they have made a mistake by selling me the wrong, non-TPA RY-4, since there's quite a few versions out there?

I get that taste from their Black Honey Tobacco but never from the RY4 Double, and I use a LOT of it.

Thank you very much for your reply. I had my suspicions. Those .......s! This Malaysian company which I won't name, has also made another user on ECF seriously ill due to a mistake on their end. Contaminated PG, I think.

I got my nic base, PG and VG from Molinshop and I'm really happy with it, so I thought to myself that surely this local company can't mess up flavours, can they? Guess I was wrong.

I'm not going to buy from them again. They seem too busy and disorganized.
