TPA Sour?

Hey Guys,

I am making a lemon lime liquid tonight, and I want to use the TPA sour mix I bought. I was just wondering if anyone has used it with any success, and what percentage did you use it at?

I am probably just going to add a few drops, taste, add a few more, taste etc...

I lot of juices I have tried were almost to smooth, missing that tang I like. SO I figured why not grab a bottle and see what we have.

im so glad youve asked this as ive bought the same. i have a question for you actually , on your bottle does it say "20%" on it ? its the first concentrate ive recieved that has a percentage on it , any idea what it means ?

In my guess it means 20% malic acid solution. (malic acid is what they use in this)

I think mine was mixed by the vendor, so Im not sure of the percentage.

Yep, mine is 20% as well. I will let you know how it goes when I make the liquid.

Several months ago I bought some Sour and my bottle just says Flavor Apprentice 10 ml Sour Flavor. It smelled crazy strong so I diluted some in a 10 ml bottle... using 8 ml of VG and 2 ml of the Sour to make a 10 ml batch.
I've been experimenting with this sour dilution in some of my fruit flavors. It does give it a sour note, but not sure I'm liking it LOL so still experimenting. I've been thinking I might just buy some Malic Acid and make my own sour solution.

I dont find that it creates that sour effect (like sour kids or something), it just seems to add more tang to a juice.

Mine doesn't have a percentage. Where did you get yours? Did you ask your vendor? I'm curious, if it's 20% then what is the other 80%?

Mine must be an old bottle since it doesn't have any indication of what % it is, even though I bought it recently from a local supplier. I see the TPA site currently states it's 20%. Perhaps the vendor where I bought mine buys in bulk, makes their own labels and forgot to print the "20%" on the label.

Mine doesnt say anything on the bottle either, I know from asking the vendor. She buys in bulk and re-packages it into smaller bottles.

well i treid it with some pineapple . wanted to make sour sweets. t was an unusual vap to say the least. i think this stuff is really potent so im going to try what i did with my watermelon and menthol. use a 10% fc strength so for a 10ml batch 1mls of concentrate.

0.8ml of pineapple
0.2 of sour

see if the reduced amount make work better.
