are tfa and tpa supposed to be the same?
I'm glad you asked that question way back then. I've been want to know but was afraid to ask. Thanks.

I got mine from WL also but I put mine in a plastic ziplock bag and layed and dishtowel over it and hit with a hammer lightly and crushed the crystals pretty good. I just took a empty 30ml bottle and filled it up half way with the crystals. Then filled it up the rest of the way with Everclear. Dissolved wonderful and made a strong menthol that I like. I also add Koolada to mine. It is from Perfumer's Apprentice. It adds a cool hit without the extra flavor. Love, love, love it. Everyone has their own way. I'm just lazy and don't want to measure or go to a lot of trouble. Guess I'm really a lover. L azy O 'l V aporer that E njoys R elaxing. bahahahahahaha(sorry for the bad joke, haven't been sleeping enough lately)
Cool! But if you submit a recipe please include your mixing method so others can replicate your recipe.
I'm so sorry. I did not realize what thread I was in. So this is not a recipe, it is just how I make my flavorings. I haven't started the measuring thing yet. I hope to one day.... but not today. I will read more careful next time. I will just use the excuse that I am sleep deprived. heehee Night.![]()
Thanks Aurora-Oblivion for weighing those crystals. I was really busy today and put off the menthol crystal weighing until tomorrow. I'll make sure I get it done and try to take some juicy pictures as well.
Those pictures look so illicit...![]()
Not my recipe. It's on this site somewhere. It's called Flamingo and it's amazing.
8% Strawberry
7% Peach
1% Coconut extra (original recipe says 3% coconut but since I have the extra version, I used less)
If you like fruity/tropical flavors, you'll love this.
Just mixed up a small batch of this...pretty good (after one night of steeping). Needs to steep yet, but not bad when pretty new. However, I used Cherry instead (I don't have strawberry on hand). The peach isn't coming through as much as I would like, but that might change after some steeping. Thanks for the recipe!
Sorry for the delay.... Here is one gram of WL menthol crushed and weighed on my digital jewelry scale...

Here is it but in a teaspoon. Sorry but I didn't have an exact measuring spoon. I flattened it so it is level with the teaspoon. It is almost exactly half of one teaspoon.

I hope this helps...

Thanks! BTW, I ordered the same scale you are showing, but, D.O.A. Damn postage was more than the scale. Guess I'll try Walmart. All things considered, your results are very close to Aurora-Oblivion's. Close enough for me at least.I wanted to say I made a 30 ml batch by eyeing out 1 and 1/2 teaspoons and then made another 30 ml batch weighing 3 mg on the scale and they both taste equally strong. Even if there are small discrepancies, they are unnoticeable.
How did your "per gram" batch compare to your % bottle batch?....Thanks again.
Thanks for taking the time m00nshake!
I figured about 1/2 tsp for a gram too (0.8g anyway, based on my 1.6g measurement for one tsp), so like you mentioned it's close no matter what. Most users should go by drops per 5/10ml anyway, until they are familiar with how their current mix affects the juice, then maybe later could go with percentage.
Did you feel funny uploading those images?![]()
Ohh, guess not, you hosted them here

I agree, it'll be good to have another members findings as well!
I wasn't sure how to show a way for those without a scale to get a gram, so I think 1/4 x 3 would be the best way, but then of course many people wont have 1/4 tsp either so that's a tough one! Half tsp might be a OK option too, and that one may be in more people's drawers, a good average measurement on that should be 0.8g so a little more than that would be close enough too.
I'm in the south below you, where's m00nshake at? Ohh yes, it's terrible mugly here all the time! We have to keep the air set at 74/74 otherwise it'll run non-stop all day and night, often due to it just getting hot in the house because it's so humid.
