I find that there is too much emphasis over steeping.... I think .....with the exception of a few complex flavors such as Custard and tobaccos that steeping is the last thing Needed. I would say 90% of my juices need no steeping or none after 2 to 3 days.

I too find that many juices can go bad at a months time or more. I dont find that true with most fruits. They have a great shelf life. .... and yes, I experienced what your saying with the Dragons tears.

The Keylime pie recipie in here (not the light) is soo good at first. Let it sit for a month and it gets a bit yucky (to me)

My Butter finger and Almond joy recipies in here are the same way.....with steeping near a month, some flavors come out that are just plain over powering and change the whole aspect of the taste derived the very first day.

After a while, I figured out which are which and mix as needed. I will make up 200 mls of Red Vs Blue and dont care if it sits 3 months in front of a window, but Keylime... I got to know that I will be vaping it that week.

Again, as we all say ..."taste is subjective" and I definately hear what your saying.

I agree. Here's riptrippers kinda breaking it down on steep times. I tried to let custards sit long, but I couldn't not vape it. For me, if I don't like it after a week, I throw it out. Tobaccos are about the only thing that I make that needs a few days.

TFA Cinnamon Spice is the only TFA flavor I've found that just disappears after time. So a week steep for the tobacco, and it's good, but the cinnamon can only be tasted when I rub my tongue on the roof of my mouth.

This is my experience. Like you said it's all subjective.

Any good Custard recipes out there? I love OMC, Oh My Custard from Toronto Ejuice.
Would be cool to clone that one.

I have one I've been working on.

Per 10ml

10% Vanilla Custard
5% Sweet Cream
8 dp of OneStopDIYShop Stevia
2 dp of EM (my solution is 1/8 tsp crystal and 5ml PG)

I say working because I think some TFA Cinnamon Flavor and/or a tobacco would go good in it. As is, it is smooth, creamy, moist, but I think it needs a kick. I like a kick from a spice, not from water, vinegar, vodka, or nicotine. I think the TH from a flavor tastes better than a burning on the back of your throat from other more common things. I'm over smoking and don't need a TH but like a kick in some of my mixes. I use Cinnamon Flavor in my morning vape to give it a kick for example.

If you seriously want information about steeping, read these 1400+ posts. In this thread some very detailed and controlled experiments are documented and the results are very conclusive - including 2 sets of blind tests from forum members scattered across the USA.

This is the most "inclusive" thread about steeping on this forum.

Start near the end to see the latest - but it is all a good read.

Thanks. But for me, I think it's mostly subjective. I don't see enough benefit to do it unless it's tobacco and cinnamon related. Some juices get better, some get worse. Different flavors do differently. I know how mine react and I'm not going to argue with anyone how there's act.

Hmmm so about 13% flavoring is what it comes out to?? I am getting such mixed answers about how much flavoring to actually use. That's not to much??

Kentucky
Chocolate Coffee Mocha
8.5% TFA Dark Dbl Chocolate
2.5% TFA Caramel(original)
2% TFA Toasted Marshmallow
3% TFA Sweetener
TFA Coffee to taste, I used 4%
Prepared with 12% nic in 60/40 PG/VG, no steep required.
Sweet Mocha coffee flavor I have no problem vaping all day.

Mexican Coffee
10% TFA Sweet Cream
3-5% TFA Dbl. Dk. Chocolate
1-3% TFA Toasted Marshmallow
2% TFA Brown Sugar
.5% Cinnamon
TFA Coffee to taste, I used 4%
Prepared with 12% nic in 60/40 PG/VG.
Coffee did get stronger after steeping overnight so I increased the TFA Toasted Marshmallow & TFA Dbl. Dk. Chocolate by 1% & added 1% TFA Sweetener.
Wasn't sure I was going to like this one so just used the food grade cinnamon oil I had on hand, the type we used to make cinnamon toothpicks & WOW it's a keeper! Guess I'll be ordering the hottest cinnamon TFA has!
I know I vape TFA coffee flavors a lot stronger than most that's why I stated, "to taste", in both recipes then the amount I used. Would really hate for someone who only uses a drop per 10 ml to use my % and get blown away! However these are some of the coffee recipes I vape all day as coffees are my favorites and their the first recipes I've felt were good enough to post, hope you like them!

When you say " I think..." it tells me the recipe is not finished. Re post with appropriate %'s.

PG 10%
VG 76%

No Name !

Here's a real simple one, but I love it in the morning:

A few new flavors I recently came up with.

Blueberry Cream
Blueberry 7.5%
Vanilla Swirl 7.5%
PG 10%
VG 75%

Milk and Honey
Bavarian Cream(sometimes FW instead of TPA, but I'm playing with both) 5%
Vanilla Swirl 5%
Honey 4%
PG 10%
VG 76%

I hope the slight change in writing makes you happy, when I say I've been toying with them, what I mean is I've recently dialed them in. Was happy to share them, and I'm always making more, but I really doubt I'll make any more appearances in this thread.

Hope someone enjoys them, not digging the individual who nit picked a single word, and called mutt entire post into question.

You were fine with this one UNTIL your statement about the food grade cinnamon! Re post after you have tried Cinnamon RedHots and have a %.
