Ok, I meant to do a test run with French Vanilla, but I got to thinking...always dangerous...
I looked up a recipe for actual DIY vanilla ice cream:
2 cups of heavy cream
1 cup of whole milk
6 large eggs
3/4 cup of sugar
Vanilla extract to taste
salt to taste
So, using the earlier vanilla recipe as a template, and figuring Vanilla Custard would provide the egg note, I got:
TFA Vanilla #2
11% Vanilla Custard
13% Bavarian Cream
3% Caramel
3% Cotton Candy
It was good after mix&shake, but the caramel dominated. After a speed steep, it's still just good, but the caramel faded into the background.
Next Run:
10% Vanilla Custard
10% Bavarian Cream
3% French Vanilla
3% Sweet Cream
4% Cotton Candy
