From what I have found (and I'm sure Iken will correct me if I am wrong) there are 3.7 volt rcr123a and 3.0 rcr123a volt batteries. This charger will handle the 3.7's.
I am sure glad I was reading this cause I really hadn't given it much thought and it easily could cause some serious damage. Thanks for the heads up JRW. I hope others heed this information:)

Problem is if it does charge them it will overcharge them to lipo voltage of 4.2v, instead of A123 voltage of 3.7v, or rcrA123 voltage of 3v. This would likely shorten their life if repeated over and over. It should not cause an explosion or fire or anything though. If lipos are overcharged too much there could be a fire.

Ok They SHOULD be here today! lol
I'm sorry Joker, when the postman comes with or without I'll DEFINITELY post! Yes Mr Nut is right. The universal charger and all other chargers that are labeled as for 3.7 vo batteries will charge the battery to 4.2 volts. A 3 volt battery has an average output at 3.6-3.7V. Filling it anymore than that will Lead to an improper discharge and that my friend is Dangerous. Unless the battery charger has an actual switch for a 3.0volt setting, Do NOT use it for 3.0 batteries. Batteries are very dangrous and should be not be taken loosely. Other than the Universal chargers. I have 3.0-3.7 volt chargers coming in as well. Thankfully I got them to ship before the holiday and their shipping is superfast .
