I have been trying to track my package. Every time I check it this is the message I get:

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on February 3, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Can someone clear this up for me? Does it mean that my package is not in transit??? :(

Yeah, and if you call and ask them, they will say they have not yet received it from the shipper

I got the same problem with my tracking number..
I was beginning to think that my box is sitting on a counter at V4L still..
hopefully it will update someday..Either way I am sure it will get here.

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on February 2, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date."

Today is now Fed 5th. USPS is saying they haven't even received the package yet.

----EDIT
I have my package now.
USPS updated AFTER it was here. Got to love USPS.

Don't try and get all technical now..
Delivery Confirmation # is the tracking # used by any vendor that ships via USPS priority mail...

That is what V4L gives us for a tracking number in our emails.

Does that not say TRACKING NUMBER???

I also pay for Delivery Confirmation when I ship out samples to people. It shows the progress of the package as it passes through post offices. It is updated daily.
At the very least we should see the origin scan..
So obviously our packages were just not scanned in by USPS.
I don't doubt they are on their way, just they were not logged in by USPS.
So we will not have tracking until it shows up at our door and is scanned as delivered.

This is not my first order with V4L, it wont be my last either.
Have I had this happen with other vendors? Sure have!
Does USPS suck? You betcha!
But don't try and tell me that it is not to be used as a tracking number...
Just blame USPS, its their employee who missed a couple boxes out of the bunch. :p

I don't follow every package we ship, so I'm sure there must be one somewhere in the universe with timely and accurate tracking [when shipped with "Delivery Confirmationtm" service, versus Tracked Service] - I've just never seen it... (Versus FedEx, for example, which scans and updates the package every time someone somewhere might have accidentally glanced at it in passing ;) )

The USPS specifically says in the agreement [we] signed that it is to be used for delivery confirmation. And what do they call that service?

V4L can call it whatever unfortunate thing they want. And they can certainly purchase tracking from the USPS. Our shipping costs will quintuple and it still won't be as timely as FedEx - but "Delivery Confirmation" != "Tracking"

I'd give the guys a call and see if they can figure out what happened to your package, kingfish. I've no doubt it went out Monday. I have had ones that have taken longer one took about seven business days but it was on it's way the whole time. We even had one person in the forums who had their package visit Alaska before it got delivered and I think they were also from Florida.

All i know is my orders aways got here in two days, three at most.

As of now my last order 1/31/10 still not here.

I dont know what is wrong but it needs to be fixed.

When did you get your shipping notification?
Weekend orders don't always ship Monday due to an extremely high volume of orders placed. Some weekend orders don't actually ship until they get caught up on Tuesday.
