Does anyone have any suggestions when making trades here on the classifieds for decreasing your odds of getting taken? I have made small trades and just checked the persons feedback, history etc and worst case I am out 20-30 bucks if it goes south. But if you are trading something more expensive like $200 or so...well I know trust goes both ways but it makes me really nervous.

Comments, suggestions?

Honestly it's hard to say. I will rarely do a trade with high end items, however it happens all the time and very little backlash happening in the classified.

I will usually ask to call them or do some more chatting via PMs, I like to get to know who I am dealing with.

I also agree with the idea of sending the items to maybe even another trusted member and once they receive both, they send them along their ways. Still risky, but more comfort.

It's just one of those things really, that you just have to trust people at some point. The community here has been so generous to me that honestly, I doubt I'd have any issues trusting 99.9% of the people here at ECF. Most of the purchases I have made have even had extras thrown in with them, again, just goes to show how much the ECF community is out to help each other stay off the analogues, and that we're all in this together. I'm taken aback by it at times truth be told, compared to most of society at large.
