Tried Backwoods for the first time and did not like it. What am I doing wrong?

Still a noob so bear with me. So I ordered what I thought are the 2 most popular blends, Casablanca and Malty. Malty had no throat hit, which is something that I found I do like and Casablanca had this Ginger like taste which I am definitely not a fan of. However, everyone seems to like these flavors. Could i be doing something wrong? Do these blends need to Steep? Is it advisable to mix these blends with each other or some of the flavors found at Halo?

Background: Pack/day smoker, converted to vaping via Halo liquids in April also using a KR808. Thanks for any help.

Casablanca needs to sit awhile for most people. Im betting you will like it more in a few weeks. That juice changes quite a bit.

Malty will change a little but not a lot in my opinion. Most people that like it, like it because it is a mild juice. I usually use malty to add vapor and sweetness to other juices. I mix it with Backo quite often ;)

You may still be in the changing tastes zone, at 2 months. What I liked at month 1 was pretty blecch to me by month 4 or 5, and vice-versa.

Also, not everyone does like everything. It doesn't make the eliquid bad, or you wrong, it's just that you don't like that eliquid. The eliquid I've been vaping for a long time is relatively mild in TH, and a very smooth, sweet, taste; early on I wanted a very firm, high mg, high TH, tobacco.

In my opinion, Casablanca is at its best after about 2 or 3 weeks of steeping. You also need to keep in mind that Malty and Malty Toffee are 70% VG/30% PG, where as all the other BWB Juice is 70% PG/30% VG, so there won't be a lot of throat hit with Malty and Malty Toffee (also Carto's might be harder to fill, if you are using them). I suggest that you try the Casablanca again in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, try some other ones. Honey Flue Nut is one of my favorites and only gets better with age. Just keep trying them, I'm sure you will find one you love!

I have several flavors from them that I'm steeping for a few weeks. I test them occasionally to see if I like them. One that I did like out of the box was Root Beer. At first a strong black licorice flavor which, after a week or so, mellowed into a nice root beer flavor which also tingles the tongue with what seems to be carbonation. I ordered it in a larger size.

Hi niterider if you are still following this thread.

I loved the taste of Malty but like you I found it didn't have enough TH, even at 24 mg (the nic level will affect TH.) But that's an individual thing; some people like a milder vape. Lex0r, thank you for explaining why the Malties :) are so much mellower! That explains it.
I was "meh" the first time I tried Casablanca but definitely agree it needs a lot of steeping. I adored it after 3-4 weeks and will get more.

One of my all-time favourites is BWB Espresso and I just ordered 60 ml of it today. It has such a rich, robust hit that I use it to provide more kick to mellower juices. It's very good mixed with Malty.

Your not doing anything wrong, Casa is just straight up gross and I have no idea why it's so popular. If you want a good cig throat it and a more strong cig flavor goodness, I recommend Backo, Applewood for a little extra flavor and Adirondack. I have tried many and many from many brands and I came back to what I know is good and I know is the best and that is these three flavors I just mentioned.

If you like the Espresso, you definitely need to try Caramel Cappuccino. It is extremely similar to espresso but a tad bit sweeter (I guess that's where the caramel comes in to play). It has quickly made its way into my top favorite BWB juices. Give it a try!

Casa may not be to your liking but it is not "straight up gross".
That being said, I didn't like it at first either, nor the second or third time I tried it. But after 3 weeks +/- I tried it again and now I have 90mls. steeping and an open 30mls. that is quickly running low.
I would never tell anyone that a flavor is "gross". I like it or I don't
