Just an update to all of you who were so kind and supportive. After showing my husband what I wanted to get he had an objection to being seen with me in public with something that big and "tool looking". lol He very politely and loving asked me if I would please start out with something a little more "girlie" looking for when I am out? He is not quite as adventurous as I am. LOL Then he said I could use the "thing that looks like it should be in a tool kit" (mod) in the comfort of our own home. What could I say? I see his point.

So ... I ordered a Vapor 4 Life Vapor King starter pack with the pass through, which I LOVE by the way. 2 auto bats and 1 man bat. 4 bottles of juice, a drip tip, some empty cartos and some that are prefilled just to try out different flavors.

I am happy to report that I haven't had an analog cig since last Friday Night! I LOVE vaping! Love everything about it and I think the hubby is going to try it too because I have had such good luck with it! Funny thing was, he didn't realize that it has nicotine in it untill 2 days ago. He just thought they simulated smoking I guess. Now that he knows there is nicotine in the vapor I think he is going to try it too.

So thank you everyone for all the support and information you have giving me in this new venture! It has changed my life!

PS. The Provari should be here soooon! Can't wait! To use it in my home. hahaha

You watch....hubby will get the ProVari from your hands and go crazy with it.....within two months he'll have his own...or several...and all this "look like cigarette" concern of his will be out the window! I can see it all now. LOL. Good to hear that you love vaping (as do we all) and are having success. Isn't it amazing?

Glad you found something you like.

I think it's actually a mistake to advise people to start with simple smoke like devices. They tend to be crap their batteries are too small and they will often have more proprietary parts that can't be easily replaced or serviced. Next thing you know someone is already into things for a couple hundred bones and they still need to buy a good smoke. Better to send them towards a nice screw driver in the first place and they can spend all that money they wasted on starter devices on extra juice batteries and parts for a good unit.

Personally I'm a hard core penstyler. I've just replaced my Prodigy V1 5 volt that I'd used as my only smoke since August of 09 with a Prodigy V3.1 also from Puresmoker. I love the simplicity of the design it's just a tube with battery a couple end caps a spring and a switch. Very little that can fail.

It uses standard camera batteries that can be purchase for around $5's a pop and can be set to run at either 3.7 or 6volt depending on battery choice. The v3.1 replaced the relatively buggy switch on the V1 with a pure mechanical switch with an even greater level of reliability.

Obviously you've found a device you like and it looks like that Provari is a fine unit.

But for any lurkers who would like a serviceable unit I highly recommend the Prodigy V3.1. Puresmoker is a fine outfit and like I said I used my V1 for a year and a half (and it still works) so I expect equal performance out of the V3.1

the write device is actualy the greatest hurtle... sadly it is not the only one.. there's still juice options.. battery options.... atty / carto options.... all these things are alot to take in.. no worries... we will be here with you...

Hey ??? Hello??? Ird3...since you warned me about the other "hurtles" (lol) where do you get your juice? I have only bought from on place and I am happy with it...but on the other hand I have nothing to compare it too. What sould I try first?

GLV3 from greatlakesvapor. It's a top AND bottom feeder from a company with a stellar reputation. Mega fans on this site. It's also a convertible so you can use it as a tube mod or with the juice box. Genius IMO. They're about $180. You can get a great $40-$45 KGO that will last all day. The batteries are 1100 mAh and give any mod on the market a run for their money. Great backup or main PV at Breezesmoke in black and Hoosierecigsupply in chrome.

Your atty (or carto) and juice are going to dertermine vapor. LR (low resistance) attys/cartos with a higher % VG juice will create clouds of vapor. KickBassVapor's juice creates the most vapor of anything I've vaped. Their 555 is a mild tobacco that's non-offensive and their waffle juice is to die for. Very light syrup so if you like a buttery waffle flavor this might be a winner for you. Taste is subjective. I aimed for something mild with this suggestion without a lot of unique undertones for you. Good luck!

i would still recommend getting an egoT. great smoke and battery life. you can get 2 full sets plus charger for $60. i havent justified to myself yet that a mod will be work the price tag to upgrade. now i did get an e9 for my first ecig...garbage. died in less than a month. my egoT has been going strong for almost 6 months, batteries and atomizers. having the 2 batteries, one last most of the day so you always have one charged. i just got a 1100mah passthrough, it last for days and you can smoke it while it charges!

    By now (7 months) I can well imagine that the OP has discovered that the "mod' has very little to do with;
    1. Lots of vapor! Whatever produces the most! To me smoking is seeing the smoke. (I know it sounds weird.) lol

    Mods don't produce vapor, they provide volts. Vapor is produced by what you screw onto the mod (atty/carto), and the juice used.
