Well I've said it before... you can't have just 1 or 2... so I got 3! I've now moved up to a TriFecta and added a Woodvil to the family! It's a Quarter Sawn Oak Cocobolo that I picked up! It's definitely different from my LP Grands and I'm getting acclimated to it. I think it's the atty that I'm not digging and will either pick up a milled RM2 or try to find another BF model.

Here are some pics of the Fam Bam!

Very sharp .... Keep in mind that for some reason flavors always stick around longer in woodvils IMO

If its just the flavor off it might take a while to get your flavors worked into it :)

And honestly if you have super smell like me you might always get a little different flavor from it.
I went months with the same juice in two woods and one grand .... all three tasted slightly different. I believe the slight smell of the wood or finish creates a little different flavor.

Very nice! Where's your SL/LP? I never noticed how much wider the woodvilles were than the regular grand. Either way very nice.

Thanks and yes an SL/LP is next on the agenda! I may have to sell off some gear to get it though I've been pegging the spending limit every month on vape gear!

Good info! You can't quite put your woodvil in the sink and wash it like your metal REOs so that contributes to flavors sticking around! This woodvil is very nice and I'm quite impressed with the craftsmanship and Rob's excellent products.

I forgot to ask... What is the lowest ohm build you should put on a Woodvil?

I don't have a Woodvil, but I've read on a few different threads that folks have run down to a 1.0 ohm resistance, but recommended around 1.5? Don't quote me though, I'd say wait for someone with more experience to pop in shortly to correct me. Nice Woody though!

C'mon where are my woody owners. I need some build recommendations! I use mostly spaced coils although I can go tighter with more wraps.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do spaced coils with 30g ....... Lowest i've gone on a woodvil is 1.1

I usually hang out around 1.3 - 1.4

pauly, if you are worried about the taste of the atty on the woodvil, swap it with with an atty from one of the Grands. That's a mini A6 on the Woody, I like them, very easy to live with.

ETA - I run the same coils on Woodies and Grands. Down to 0.8 ohms should be fine on a Woody.
