Triton tank- juice pooling on battery center pin?

Hi Halons,

Is anyone else having issues with the ejuice pooling up on the battery connection? I'm not talking slight condensation, but an actual pool of ejuice on top of the center pin.

I have tried drying it off, blowing through tank, ensuring coil and tips tight, etc. ... But it keeps happening!

I did notice it happens with non-halo juice. Could the PG/VG mix have something to do with it?

Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have a fix?

Thanks all!

I have had this problem and seems to be when I need to change heads. Somehow the juice is getting in the center post and moving down to battery. I wonder if it is because stuff gets build up on the coils and then it doesn't vaporize as well and it results in condensate getting in mouthpiece which then falls into center post and moves down. I also seem to get more "juice" in mouthpiece at the same time.

Blow out the centerpost does help for a while. Make sure the head is tight and no wick threads are caught in connection and sleeve is down far enough.
Check to see if your coils have built up junk on them.

Never had the issue myself (at least not on any top coils Clearos... Protanks... that's another story)... check and make sure the silicone cover is all the way down on the head, that's the biggest culprit, I'd assume, as it sounds like the liquid is dripping into the air channel. I'd also like Bones said, make sure there's no wick material between the center post and the head itself...

It happens. Make sure the coil id tight, but never overly tight. Make sure the sillycone sleeve is at the right position. Not too tight, not too loose. It usually happens to me right after refilling. Sometimes the sillycone gets moved when the tip is unscrewed.

What also might be happening is when the tip is screwed back on, it compresses the inside air in the tank, raising the pressure, which forces liquid the only place it can go, into and down the tube. Try a few quick hard draws without firing to equalize the pressure.

I can't explain why non Halo juices do this more. But they do!

(A drinking straw and a tissue or napkin helps cleaning the "moat" at the battery top.

When in doubt, a fresh dry head is better.

It's because they lack confidence and definition and run for the hills! ;)

Another couple quick tips...

-If you're topping off a tank make sure the ejuice is at or below 1.6ml, below where the coil screws in so you don't get juice inside the air post.

-When you twist off the tip to refill, the condom unscrews the coil/wick assembly in the process, so re-tighten it snug with no further force or pressure before refilling.

-Try not to over-fill past 2.2ml, the wicks will do the rest of the absorption work. Similar to what Dave said, overfilling can flood a tank since the ejuice escapes past the wicks and has nowhere to go but down, which is what gives the gurgles and pops, and juice deposits on top of the battery post.

I have yet to find a way to completely eliminate small ejuice deposits on top of the battery with normal use when I switch tanks, this might be a part of condensation build up as with the mouthpiece, so I just use my shirt or a tissue and wipe it off.
