I bought my first e-cig in October last year a mini e-cig (901?)

Could never get it to work right, vapour but no throat hit, then the end of the battery came off inside the charger. Not a good start so stuck my mini in the drawer and gave up on the idea of e-cigs for a while and stuck to my analogs.

About 4 weeks ago I had a nose on this very forum and everyone was raving about the Janty Dura so I thought hey why not give it another go, read all the reviews and ordered one!

It came very quickly had a play around with it for a few days and found the batteries just weren't lasting, within half an hour they were flat! both of them. Was very disappointed as I had paid loads of money for it. Not fit for the purpose me thinks so emailed Janty (Europe) but to this date still haven't had a reply. So another e-cig bit the dust and I still await a reply from Janty!

After weeks/months of being nagged by my 8 year old about giving up smoking I set a date of No Smoking Day here in the UK! 11th March. Got out my Janty again having to charge up batteries every hour or so and have been using that while I had a look round for a replacement.

Started looking around and came across Trog's Screwdriver. Ordered it on Wednesday and it arrived in double quick time this morning and with both batteries fully charged no having to wait around to have a play and all I can say is WOW!

Lots of vapour, easy to use (was initially worried about the manual switch as never used one before) and a good throat hit!

I think this is going to change my feelings about e-cig's. After two disasters I feel this is going to be 3rd time lucky!

Even got my neighbour interested in e-cigs and will definately recommend the Screwdriver! BRILLIANT!!

Thanks Trog!

The Screwdriver is one good vaper maker, throat hitter and lasts for hours. The only problem I have with it is the bottom switch. I would rather have a side switch. I bought Bastage MOD and he has the side switch and I love it. Bastage is a forum member. I wish Trog would make his Screwdriver's with a side switch. It is easier for a lady to use.

The only problem I have with it is I wish it were made for a pen style atomizer. the 901 carts get emptied in no time the way it is. I think I read somewhere he has an adapter?
Trog now makes and supplies an adaptor to use the 801 classic atomizer, details at the SD forum .
Or easy enough to make your own if your good with your hands.

Glad it's working for you Lisa, and keep on at Janty about a refund, there's a Janty Q&A thread in the suppliers forum , post there about contact issues. Public complaints often get a quicker response.

Got mine today and I agree - it is as good as everyone says it is.

I love the manual switch - no more temperamental automatic switches (and also no more USB cable getting in the way) - hallelujah!

Top product, beautifully made, cannot recommend it highly enough.

You won't regret buying one I promise you!

Lisa

Hmmm....not so sure you want to make that claim Lisa. I bought one and ended up selling it. I don't regret that I bought it because I definitely had to try it, but just found it wasn't for me. I wouldn't make that "promise" on a $150 item.....that's a lot of money to put up if someone ended up not being crazy about it.

Can I ask why you sold it?

At this moment, the only negative I can think of is that I wouldn't be comfortable using it in public because it looks like a serious druggie device - which technically I suppose it is.

(But then I'm not too comfortable smoking any obvious non-cigalike e-cig in public for that matter.)

The big selling points are - robustness, reliability (I hope), consistency, controllability & battery life.
