More TH can be managed primarily by upping the nicotine level.

I dont think getting a better battery is the answer. Batteries should follow delivery systems (atomizer, cartomizer, clearomizer...) in terms of upgrades, not the other way around. Save the money you are about to drop on a Provari and get some real nice tank, even a Z Atty Pro if you dont mind the tinkering involved with RBAs. The rest of your money should go to juices.

LOTTTTSSSS of juices, sample them, pick a few you like. vaping should not be giving up something you enjoy for something inferior; otherwise you would always second guess the decision. Get delicious juices and a kick ... delivery system so that vaping becomes enjoyable.

Indeed, if what you are looking for is a nice smooth ride on real leather seats and $300 champagne in a built in cooler. Faster horses will likely rip your old squeaky cart to shreds :D

Not true! I see plenty of people using ViVi Novas on Provaris all the time

I started out overdoing it, honestly. I bought 24mg and vaped like crazy to keep the analog gremlins away. I would even catch myself getting a headache from slight nicotine OD and remember to put the device down for a while. It worked though. I haven't had a single analog since I began. Now I'm down to 16 or 18mg.

My husband is not having the same luck. He still feels like he needs a cig. But... he admits, if he tries his ecig first, the craving goes away. The problem for him seems to be more psychological. He wants a cig and he goes for a cig. Sometimes he does try the ecig first, and like I said it works, but as soon as anything stressful happens he won't even give the ecig a chance to do its thing. Right back to the stinky stuff.

I think it also helps that I step outside sometimes to vape. It just feels like a cigarette break used to. I have four kids, my cig breaks were my sacred time, no kids, no noise, just me and the patio. This gives me the de-stressing time AND the nicotine. Mimicking your old habit does take the edge off of the adjustment.

And yes, having some awesome flavors around really helps!!

Good luck to you!!

Find the right pv, the right e-liquid and hang around here for the support. The few people I know that weren't successful didn't go to forums. I'm not saying just this forum, but I think support is a huge part of it.

I agree completely on the idea of seeking out support. I really enjoy this forum, because everyone here is so positive.

I don't have a very sophisticated or sexy setup - just an Apollo TGo, and a bunch of juices that I'm trying out. The experience has been very positive for me - I have a go-to juice that I adore, and I'm exploring the others. I haven't had a cigarette for 24 hours, but I still see myself as a smoker, just a part-timer now. I know myself well enough that if I put too much freight on this and make some kind of big mental leap, I'll totally freak out. Best to keep it casual and enjoyable.

Provari, Zmax and Vamo look interesting. I'm not sure I am willing to drop $180 (provari) on a battery though. Seems awfully expensive. But don't get me wrong, I'd spend whatever if it works. I'm not poor. I've just spent a lot on stuff I ended up throwing out already.

If I used the same Tank Type A atomizers, wouldn't it burn them up? The website seems to imply you use whatever carts or atomizers you did before, but gives the disclaimer that it might destroy them. I sure could use more TH though.

I'll have to read more on these variable voltage and wattage systems. New to me.

Vamo is not a bad entry level choice in my opinion. If you decide to go that route check out Exhale Vapors. Good prices on Vamos, decent people there and.... it ships from Austin Texas ;) O and I suggest the SS version.

Don't get me wrong, Provari is very VERY nice. Great warranty, performance, and build quality. Main reason my wife has mine now is I watched her knock over her damn Twist battery like 3 times in one day. The last fall bent the freakin top of the battery. I don't get it, how the hell do you knock stuff over so often? Anyways, that Provari can take the beating.

What kind of bugs me is how often Provari is used as the only solution. To everything!

Wife left you? Get a Provari! Losing your hair? Get a Provari!

I made it two months analog free by simply answering every craving with "I'm going to hit my ecig first. If it works, fine, if it doesn't, I'll smoke a real one". No pressure. Then I got a bad stomach bug & couldn't stand the taste of my ecig. Went back to analogs for a couple of weeks. No pressure, but not enjoying the return of the cough, so I'm transitioning back to vaping. Still wanting the "real thing" first thing in the morning & last thing at night, so one or two analogs in the morning, one or two at night, vaping during the day. No pressure. Spending time reading through this forum, I've learned that my taste/nic needs will be constantly evolving, so I'm continuing on my quest to find that sweet spot that will allow me to put down analogs forever, but until I find it, I'm not going to pressure myself to do it on anyone's terms but my own.

Just and update. With splurging some money on some new equipment and a variety of new juices. I am now 1.5 days with 0 analog cigarettes. The previous 2 days to that, I only had 1 or 2. There is hope after all. This week will be a challenge, but as long as my batteries don't die, I think I am going to be able to fully make the transition. The mentality of "I can smoke an analog if I REALLY need too", rather than "OMG I can never smoke again! I'm gonna die!" really made a huge difference. It ends up, I don't REALLY need too as often as I thought.
