1 pc eGo Vision V3 Changeable Clearomizer

would this be what I need, then a couple batteries and a charger?

I'm not in Canada so I am not sure what sites are best for you to buy from but I would *not* recommend that clearo as from my experience they tend to mute the taste or worse, make everything have a weird plastic taste. Kanger T3s are much, much better. Here is one from the site you're looking at. If you are going with an ego-type battery you will probably be best off purchasing the low resistance one (1.8) You can replace the coils on them.

1 Kanger T3 Bottom Coil eGo CC Changeable

For a new vaper, the Vivi Novas are nice too, you can get one there as well, they come in a large size and mini. They are super easy to fill and clean, and you can replace the heads. Look for genuine "Vision" brand as some places sell knock-offs which many people find to be lesser quality. The site you linked to sells them in both sizes as well as the replacement heads.

1 Vivi Nova V3 Tank Clearomizer ( 3.5mil )

The Vision Spinner 1300 MaH, also sold there, is an excellent starter battery. It has a good vape time and is Variable Voltage- so it's adjustable (just like the Egp Twist) from 3.3 to 4.8 v by twisting (spinning) a knob on the bottom. That allows you to dial in the vape to suit your tastes. Having owned both the Ego Twist and the Vision Spinner, I give the Spinner a slightly higher rating only because it is much easier to see the markings on the knob, and the twist knob is very easily accidentally moved - but either of them are good devices. The Spinner is generally slightly less expensive-at this site a 1300 MaH is 29.99 vs 28.99 for a 900 MaH Twist.

1 Vision eGo Spinner 1300mah VV Battery

The site you have listed is a little higher priced than some but maybe because you're in Canada, I don't know. Whichever batteries you choose, if you can get two it's always good to have a backup. And yes, you need a charger, any ego usb charger will work for both the Twist and the Spinner as well as most any other Ego type batteries. You can get one that is just usb or buy a whole kit with a wall-wart. Some kits will come with a battery but if it doesn't specify than it probably does not.

Here is one at the site you have listed.
Joyetech 510/510-T USB Charger

I would definitely *not* start at low nicotine levels, as you are likely to be unsatisfied and if you aren't happy..cigarettes are too easy to go back to. For me, 12 mg wouldn't have worked, it is still too low for me. 24-16 mgs is generally a good starting place..but just like flavors, it's subjective, so get small samples to start and take it easy. Low nicotine levels (12 mg or less) seem to many to give less of a throat hit, which when you are starting is something that will probably be important to you.

With any of these batteries and liquid delivery systems, you should definitely *not* be dragging like no tomorrow to get the hit the way you had to with the Blu! It's a world of difference. =)

That's a good kit, but cartomizer tanks can be a little tricky for some beginners- if you decide to go that route make sure to check Baditude's blogs here, great information and links on tank use. Personally I use carto tanks almost exclusively now-but the learning curve would have been a bit steep for me when I was quitting smoking and this was all brand new.

E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs

If you use Madvapes subscribe to the newsletter for a discount. =) Madvapes is a good vendor.

I started (after reading here for ages while trying to get a decent vape from Njoys and Blus) with the things below which came from hoosierecigs. It worked so well I bought the same things for my daughter when she decided to try vaping. I own multiple apvs now but I still use all of these batteries, both of the clearos and the vivi nova on a regular basis. I don't know if there's a code for a discount anymore, but his prices are very good and for support Brent at hoosierecigs can't be beat. I had a bunch of stupid n00b questions at the start and he answered every email I sent very quickly! My daughter says the same.

This is an 1100 MaH Kgo kit. It comes with 2 ego-style batteries with a good vape time, 2 clearomizers that don't taste like plastic and a charger, for 42.99

KGO kit1100mAh by SLB

If you can afford to throw in a variable voltage Vision Spinner in 1300 MaH for 24.99, I highly recommend it. Variable Voltage gives you the power to adjust your vape to your taste, and leaves you room to use different resistance delivery systems as well.

KGO kit1100mAh by SLB 42.99

For a beginner friendly "tank" style liquid delivery system, they too carry the Vision Vivi Nova in mini and large size, 11.99 and 12.29 respectively.

Vision Nova Tank Clearomizer V3 Slim 11.99

Good luck, you'll love vaping. =)

aerin, yes this would work - it would be the same as the CE4 (stardust) in the picture. These are what I started with and liked at first. The tips are actually part of the clearomizer - so you don't have to purchase anything seperate. As mentioned by others - it might not be the best. I have move on to the Kanger T2 and T3 and actually do like them better. Yes also with a couple of batteries and a charger. You will also need to order some juice - either from the same vendor or someone else.

I have also ordered a Spinner - but I went with the 900 mAh battery - but it is more to do with the size. That is why I showed you the difference in size in the pictures. I have the 1000 mAh Twist and I do find it a little long. I don't have my Spinner yet - but I understand they are a little shorter and fatter than the Twists - but I am not sure yet how that will work for me.

You can definitely find cheaper if you order from the States, but it may or likely will take longer to get it. Most of my in Canada orders have arrived within 3/4 dys. I ordered my Spinner from the states a week ago and still don't know where it is. You lose it in the tracking I think when it hits the border. Also - if you are ordering juice - it could end up being sent back to the dealer by customs.

So - for my first orders - I went with buying in Canada - even if it cost more, just so I could get it faster.

kariM, How are you liking that Mini Nova? I'm looking really hard at it for my next order.

kfrisbee - sadly I don't have it yet - still waiting on the order from the states with my "purple" spinner, "purple" T3 and the Mini Vivi Nova. Since I am really liking the Vivi Nova - other than how big it looks on the 650 mAh Twist I am hoping I will like it a lot. However, I am thinking the purple T3 will look so good on the Spinner that it will move into the favorite spot.

What can I say - I am such a "girl" and I love purple

I am still struggling to completely quit the analogs (real cigarettes) but I am vaping more than I was before and smoking less analogs than I was...my problem is still trying to find a juice I can "all day vape" ( I am apparantly very sensitive to tastes either to strong or a flavor I cant stand etc) ..........

I'd try to decrease the "struggle". that never works for me :) I just let the quit come slowly and I still smoke 2 cigs a day, before bed, because I'm old and I want to. do I still think I've quit smoking? yes! from 50+ cigs a day to 2. yes.
you might try a mild menthol (even if you didn't smoke menthols, lots of people find they like it) and/or try unflavored. I like unflavored, some people think it's tastes a little sweet, but there is nothing in unflavored that will offend your senses :)

As far as cost, there's no excuse. It's cheaper than analogs. My whole kit (2 cigs) with the assortment of 5 vials - about 2 weeks worth, was $45. That's about a carton for me, and less than a carton for others (I used to smoke generics). Once the initial outlay is made, it's only atomizers and juice from there - about 1/5 the cost of smoking analogs.

I so agree with this! when I started I bought 2 kits (I couldn't decide what to get and I knew I'd need backups) for the same as 2 cartons of cigs cost me. I have given a few people a kit to get them started and guess what? none of them are vaping now. Often people don't value what they didn't pay for. during my journey I have been gifted with some things, but I already knew the value of vaping and I do use and appreciate them :)

Both my daughter and I have the purple spinners, I love purple..she's a purple maniac. They do look nice with the T3s, and you can get purple tank tube replacements for the vivis (large or mini) at several places for a few bucks. Also, the big ones look a lot better on the ego/twist/spinner batteries if you get a tank sleeve or cone like this...
eGo Chrome Cone for the 3.5 mL Dual Coil Tank Cartromizer

When I got into this one of my biggest concerns was that e-cigs would be "too fat" for me..both because I have severe nerve damage in my hands and from an aesthetic point. Online the spinners look HUGE! They don't look as fat irl, but I was still skeptical until I vaped on one! Now I use zmaxs and a sigelei which are bigger than cigars! You can get wraps for almost any batteries, some creative girls decorate them in all kinds of ways (look for the show us your pink thread) You can make them as cute or manly or girly as you want, and it's so worth it for the taste, smell and feel without the nastiness of cigarettes.

Thanks MayLovesMetal, in the order that I am waiting for I have some of the cone/sleeve covers. I agree they will help with the look. I think as for the size - it is just part of the transition - getting used to size is just another part of it. I know that my 650 mAh batteries are now starting to "feel" more normal/comfortable. So I imagine in time the 1000 mAh will too - but for now I only use it at home and it is better - but not as comfortable yet as the smaller one.

For aerin - these cone/sleeve covers are just for "looks" and not something you need to have. If you are ordering the CE4/Stardust (like the one in the link you posted) or even the T3 or T2 - these are not needed. I am getting them for use with the Vivi Nova and while not necessary - just something to make it look nicer. Don't want you to get confused by all this :)

Kari you're so right, it can get very confusing at first! I've always been somewhat of a worrier about making decisions and I'm worse now that I'm older with bad eyesight, few working brain cells, hands that don't work right. Without a bricks and mortar shop to look at things I found making my first vapage purchases pretty difficult...all these parts and different names for things, clearos, cartos, attys, oh my! Reading the forums was both helpful and in some ways made making my choices more difficult. I must have filled up 25 vendor's shopping carts before I finally decided to push the buy button at Hoosier. :p It's much, much more simple than it can seem reading all these posts. A battery, juice, a system to deliver the juice. Inhale, exhale. Repeat as necessary. :p

The size thing was a big stopping point for me at first. Even the 650 MaHs looked mighty big on the web, and metal?? If you told me last year that I would be vaping cinnamon churro from a big, fat, stainless steel thing while I played WoW I woulda fallen down laughing. Now I can't imagine why I wouldn't be..and smoking..yuck! My husband still smokes and I feel so sorry for him when he comes inside from the cold all smelly and coughing. :( Pretty amazing, from a 3 PAD smoker who really thought she would die clutching that pack of Newports.
I just wish we had vaping when I was 20 something. Now I will go chase some kids off my lawn..good luck to you all =)

lol, thanks Kari and Maylovesmetal :) it does get confusing! I imagine once I get started and have something to work with it will all make more sense to me! My husband doesn't want to give up smoking either but I think when I get something that works for me I can convince him!

Yes it will  keep us posted on how you are doing. Good luck and I do hope you can get something that will work for you. Two other important things for first timers - drink lots of water and remember it the ones you are not smoking that count :)

I'm in the same boat here. Bought a Vmod from Vapage before xmas. Got the two for one deal so hubby and I are in this together. Doing pretty well. We've slipped a couple of times, New Year's Eve most notably, but still going strong. I get the worst craving right after a good meal, or when I'm irritated or frustrated but so far if I just vape and try to get past the initial craving I'm okay. Gave in the other day and bought a pack, had one and didn't touch it again until later that evening when hubby asked if I'd "been bad lately" and if so to give him one! lol When we started on this crusade I promised myself that I'd take baby steps and not kick myself if I slipped up once in a while as long as I got back on the wagon right away. So far so good.

We were lucky though, had a couple of friends do the Vmod thing first. They've both completely quit analogs. One has even gone a little mod crazy and is totally into the Red Sky mods (talk about pricey!!) the other only vapes when he's at the bar on Friday afternoons!

Just remember that it's a process, you can't expect to undo a habit a lifetime in the making overnight. Baby steps!! We're all in this together!

Maybe your husband can start off with the simple stuff, rechargeable e-cigs that you buy the filters for, maybe the Krave 1001 as you can at first go from a "high" nicotine level (1.8% nicotine), to a "mid" level (1.4% nicotine), to "low" (1.0% nicotine) and, if you want, none! 0% nicotine! I don't know much about refillable cartos or whatever they're called, but I hear they're cheaper... I don't understand them yet though...
