soo pretty much since i started vaping.....6-7 months ago, Ive been loving dark juices...my gf vapes 100% of the time gooey butter cake from vaporliciousjuice.com (which is my favorite place to get any juice btw) but it seems lately we are going through more and more cartos....does the juice get old and thicken? seems like a new carto works well for about a day then it gets really hard to suck through and sorta just becomes more of a pain....ive started smoking clearer juices that i dont like near as much but with perfect results....have to full size LT's and one mini. Just wondering if any of you brilliant people out there can either shed some light on whats going on or tell me what im doing wrong. as always any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

happy vaping folks! and thanks again

yea i always get them 70pg 30vg. maybe i need to invest in some better cartos or something...but it seems like the longer i have those juices they get darker and im not sure if thats whats going on but something is definitely going on...sediment build up... or something is clogging my cartos...which btw i THINK are mostly boge SR cartos.

Some vendors mixes are very harsh on cartos. Since they gunk up the coil fairly easily. Since your vaping 70/30 then it shouldn't have that much of an effect. But, if your vaping dark and sweet juices then that can leave sediments in your filler material. Which can gunk it up and lead to a burnt carto. Also, if your getting a tighter draw then that's one of the signs of a dying carto.

The color of the juice is sort of misleading. When a juice gets dark, it's because of two reasons. One is that the longer a juice is exposed to the air and the longer it's been vaped, the darker it gets. The other reason would be because of a burnt carto. So, it's hard to tell sometimes. When it gets REALLY dark then that's because it has been burnt a lot of times.

I've had the same issue. One of my favorite juices is dark-ish, but it's very sweet, 50/50 PG/VG. I love the juice, but half a day in a carto and it starts to taste like sweaty gym socks (or so I imagine) and there's a noticeable stiffening in the draw. On the other hand, I can load up a carto with Boba's, which is also dark-ish, 100% VG, but not sweet, and keep topping it off for two or three days with no loss of flavor or performance. I think it's the sweetener that's causing the problem. I think it scorches easily and then the heat sort of caramelizes it or something and makes it gunk up the coil and the polyfill a lot faster than non-sweet juices. Just speculating, but that's the impression I get.
