Hey folks. I just cleaned a handful of cartos, they're pretty dry... and now they won't hold juice for love or money.

I tried filling the first one with my first PG-only DIY. The carto is working, but I wasn't getting any vapor, so I blew it out a bit. Tons of liquid came out. Tried again. Same thing. Kept blowing. Wash and repeat.

By the time I was getting any vapor at all, I had blown out pretty much all the juice in the carto. I thought it was my DIY.

Then I tried another with a pre-made juice. And another. And the same story with both.

They won't vape until they're practically empty. A couple of the juices I used were quite dark, and the filler was almost totally white by the time I got anything, and now I obviously don't want to vape them for fear of burning.

The juice just POURED out of them when I blew them out. It was like it wasn't absorbing at all.

This was what I did for cleaning:

- Spun out whatever juice was left in them.
- Put a few drops of PGA in a condom, and did the "condom fill" with that. Put on the other condom, and let sit for 20-30 minutes.
- Used a syringe to pump very warm, but not hot water through them 5 to 6 times, gently.
- Pushed air through them with an empty syringe 10-20 times.
-Left to dry in rice for a couple days.

Where'd I go wrong?

I usually put hot (scalding) water thru mine with a syringe to wash...done this about 5 times

I have noticed some of these do not last very long when vaping, even after the first couple of washes....maybe last 10-15 minutes or taste burn even sooner.

So....I started taryn spinning the juice out after using. If any of them had slightly less than half or 1/4 of a condom of liquid come out, I pulled the filler out and looked at it. All of these had burn holes in filler and some had burn holes on the blanket thingy under the filler.

My theory...if they don't wick properly, they are burned even though the taste is not obvious...you are just wasting liquid by washing and refilling these. Now I trash them if they have much fluid spinning out after I use them. I don't need to be vaping filler and wasting juice!!!:(
