Trouble with high/max vg juice

A few weeks ago I bought 2 Innokin Kroma mods with Zenith tanks. I also bought 2 packs of .8 ohm coils. For the most part they've been great, except with high vg juice. In one tank I've had 50/50vg juice and have had no issues. After one week of 50/50vg in the other tank I switched to 30/70vg and had a bit of trouble. I usually vape at 15 watts. Mostly I ended up being able to take one or two hits before I got dry hits, then I'd have to let it sit for a while. The thing is I usually go outside and vape a bit at a time so one or two hits isn't quite enough.

I wasn't sure if it was the juice I bought or the higher vg content, but a few days ago I bought juice I've bought in the past that was max vg. I prepped the coil like I always have and let it sit for quite a while in a full tank but I'm having the same issue. 2 hits at most before it starts to run dry.

I'm unsure if this is normal for these tanks/coils or if I'm doing something wrong. Any advice would help but if it's a coil/tank issue I plan to order another kit in a few days as well as more coils and if anyone has any suggestions similar to the Innokin Kroma and Zenith tanks that does high vg juice better it would be appreciated.

Would maybe higher or lower ohm coils work? I tend to go between mtl and direct lung hits which is why I thought the .8 coils would be good.

Jae Jae, you're just having wicking issues with the thicker high VG liquids. Distilled Water can be used to thin them down a little.

Just remember that a little goes a long way, so you're best putting 10ml at one side in a bottle and start with one drop and try vaping it. If it's still too thick do the same again but add a drop more, repeat this process until you resolve issue.

Don't forget to take notes. As once you have worked out how much Distilled Water you need to add to 10ml, you can then repeat the results on a larger amount or full bottle.

Agree with the others about DW. I’m using the Zenith with the 1.6 coil, 30/70 juice.

I’m not having any trouble, but then I’m not using that outside. I’ve read a couple posts this winter about juice thickening up in the cold to where it’ll hardly wick. So it’s not just you.

Zenith doesn’t seem to be a leaky tank, and you could get away with a lower vg juice. But thinning is probably a better call.

I use water to thin VG. The folks in the DIY thread say 1 ml of water is the thinning equivalent of 4 ml of PG. I have used it this way for a couple of years. So far, so good.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try using distilled water and see if that helps.
I have heard folks using up to 10% DI added but most go 5% max..
Higher ohm coils tend to use lower amounts of juice.
I vape 100% VG in RDA's. Might like to read:
