I think it was either that, or he just was stronger because he had just fed. If you notice in other episodes he didn't explode like some vapires do in othershows and movies, in true blood they just start to sizzle, and if they're weak they sizzle and smoke faster.

I think it has something to do with sookie's blood. The which might explain why shes so important to the vamps.
I'm not sure it's all her blood.... might be the 'light' in her.....

Ohmigosh, ok I just watched Sunday's episode last night so now I can join in on the fun! What the heck is Sookie? That was a crazy good episode and I've actually been loving this season so far.
Peepin in...OK.... I HAVE to respectfully disagree!! Now, mind you, I haven't seen much of the current season, and I only read the first book (my son read them all.. he got me hooked) but I thought the show was WAY WAY better. The book reminded me of those Harlequin Romance books.

I agree. He is far, far too predictable for me to enjoy and he doesn't know how to end a story. He never ties up loose ends which drives me mad.

The first season was excellent, I totally agree. It made me want to read the books. IMHO though, book 2 and 3 were better than the TV versions of the same.
This season corresponds with the 3rd book "Club Dead," which is one of my favorites from the series. I think that a lot of the changes they are making, and stuff they are pulling in from future books into the current season is detracting from the overall story... After each episode this season my reaction has been, "Meh."
I'm starting to wonder during which season that the television show will be completely unrecognizable from the source material...
But hey... It's not TV, it's HBO. lol
I just got in the season 1 DVD 1 from Netflix today because of this thread. You guys made me do it, now I'm gonna get addicted to this, too!!!!!

I am pumped for tonight's episode. Watched last weeks again (as per my tradition) earlier. So excited.
Well, I watched the first 2 episodes (only 2 per DVD!?) and I like it! It's gonna take forever to watch.
Not really... I just finished both seasons 1&2 the other day. Got them for my birthday on the 29th. They leave each episode so you have to start the next one! I gotta see what happens!!!
Yea, Sookie really kicked that werewolf .....es ...! And the fact that Bill is now training Jessica, I like her lots!!!

But you can download their software and watch on your computer and if it's a laptop hook it up to the TV
Not everything is available online with them....not sure about TB. It is a pain in the .... when they only put 2 TV eps on a DVD.
Wasn't that enamored with last nite's show....not bad, but I was hoping for more clues about what makes her special to the vamps.
I refer to episodes like last nights as their "sloppy Wrap Up" episodes. They just wanted to explain away some things. Get Bill the hell out of Missisipi, establish a true Progeny relationship between him and Jessica, and get Sookie and him back together. They even ended the episode in a way that feels like you're not really on the edge of your seat, just a little annoyed. Next weeks episode will be intense, I'll bet.
Unfortunately, it's not downloadable.
I even have the Roku box that allows me to download straight to my tv.- Status
