Why would you say that? if anything I would say the opposite of that because UV light degrades nicotine and in something that's only 3mg that could make a REALLY big difference.

higher nic, more nic to degrade from UV light, more chance to effect flavor.

Not everyone, by any means. ;)
of course.

This might be a silly question, but putting e-liquid in the freezer doesn't "hurt" it at all? Are there advantages / disadvantages to doing so?

My understanding is that flavored liquids should not be in the freezer, though I'm not entirely sure what happens to it. If it's just the nicotine base, chemical activity is slower as temperature decreases. By the way, it isn't going to actually freeze in a household freezer.

I know a guy who is respected by many in the area as a maestro in herbal extracts. I remember a DIY class he had on natural soap making and as an example he used a Calendula oil (olive oil). The way he makes this was by stuffing a whole bunch of calendula flowers in an olive oil jar and leaving in the sun for 30-60 days.
He said the process of just putting it in oil and heating it up produces some of the smell but the healing qualities are gone, while his soap did have dermatological healing qualities.
I have no idea how universal this advice is for making an oil extract but there may be a case where light instead of high heat helps. For storing something made and finished I can see the merit of keeping it in the dark.

True or False / Amber glass bottles vs Clear glass bottles.

Neither.

It is a Scientific Fact (proven by a Recent Harvard Study and then Loosely Paraphrased in the Huffington Post) that e-liquids that are stored in Cobalt Blue Bottles are Happier. With a Happiness margin of error of 4%.

I just bought a 6-pack of 60ml cobalt blue bottles. While I cannot speak as to how happy my niquid is, I can state that I am significantly more than 4% happier!

I believe the Huffington Post article mentioned that if 3 or more Cobalt Blue Bottles are kept within Close Proximity (or are touching) that there can have a Higher Over-all Synergistic Happiness (HOSH).

Not sure if that was in the Harvard Study? Or if the Author just made that up because it Made Sense.

You could be that your are seeing some Residual Effects from the Bottles being in the Same Box while they were shipped.

Did your Order get Delayed by the Holidays by any chance? That would mean that those 6 Bottles were Confined in the shipping box Longer.

Well, they weren't touching because they were each bubble-wrapped, taped in groups of 3, and bubble-wrapped again. They were confined to the smallest area possible, though. So, I'd guess they are very happy, indeed.

And, no delay, Prime shipping is worth the annual cost.

They do sound Happy indeed.

BTW - Cobalt Bottle make e-Liquids Steep Faster. Especially if you play Upbeat Jazz while Mixing/Filling.

And that Isn't a Urban Myth. Because I read it on Reddit. And someone said that they Also heard it on ECF. And Two independent sources Can't be wrong.

So next time you do a Mix a Recipe, crank up some Tom Scott or Joe Sample.

I'm more a John Coltrane, Chick Corea kinda listener, myself, at least when it comes to jazz. Maybe they'd like some SRV or Allman Bros?

Although most of my recipes don't need more than an overnight rest to come together and be mighty tasty!

Nuthen wrong with Coltrane or Chick Corea. And what Self-Respecting Bottle wouldn't like Stevie or the Allman Brothers?

Ooooo, I almost bought those!

Hey don't get me Wrong. I want the Happiest Bottles Possible.

But el zoiD-O comes 1st. And I think that those Green Bottles have a Cool Factor that is Off the Charts. So I'll give up a little Steep Time. And if the Bottles aren't Completely Happy, they can bring it up at the Next Scheduled grievance committee meeting.

Which I think is Calendared for sometime in Q3, 2017.

This is just great , really great . Look, i don't give a sh _ _ if the bottles are happy, ...... off, outraged or are in the mood for romance .

My questions have been answered , thanks everybody.

So what was the Answer?

Because the Glass isn't the Big Factor. It's the type of Cap. Paper Wafer vs Poly-Cap.

But that's another Thread.

Sorry, herb ...

I don't steep, but I have read that the cobalt blue bottles are slightly better than amber at filtering out UV light. I don't think light has anything to do with steeping, as it's all part of flavor-compound bonding and thourough mixing of the components.

Are you sure the light goes out?
Ah yes, Schrödinger's refrigerator light dilemma.

Does your cell phone have the ability to record video?

If so, turn it on. Put it in there. Close the door. Give it a few seconds in there. Open the door. Retrieve the phone. Play back the video.

Then you'll know for sure whether the light lived or died.

That time. :D
