You know those truth ads that are agaisnt cigarettes? They make me sick. They claim teenage smoking rates are declining and we could be the generation to end smoking. I believe they are capitalizing on the success of electric cigarettes and what bothers me is they never mention them. Gaining from the popularity of ecigs and pvs with younger people without exposing themselves to any negativity by supporting the use of them. They could help our cause tremendously by supporting us but they rather further their own agenda and only theirs. What's worse is I suspect that if tobacco use is abolished they will turn agaisnt us. We will be their next target. The ANTZ are using our success to further their goals and will turn agaisnt us given the chance.

I feel the same way about those ads, especially two of them. There is one where the guy suffered from common complications of uncontrolled DIABETES (and even admits it during the ad) and another that got sick from an INHERITED AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER that just happens to be triggered by chemicals in tobacco smoke.

Apparently there aren't enough people who have suffered debilitating harm stemming exclusively from smoking. These commercials only increase my distrust in these agencies.

Edit: I wanted to add that the other two shown in my area, one a woman who suffered and died from a devastating cancer and a man who had to undergo a tracheotomy due to cancer are people old enough to have grown up in a time with little protections for the general populace regarding environmental pollution.
I had an aunt who died before I was born who died from lung cancer caused by the smoke from plastic being burned off of wire at the town dump. She would have been about the same age as these people. Unfortunately I'm not buying that tobacco use was the evil here, the ANTZ have lied to me too many times already.
