Hi, I am try to build a nicostick (the first one, not new and improved) and was wondering how to attach the wire to the prongs and which prongs to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Trying to build Nicostick, any help available?

Use two prongs diagonal to one another. It doesn't matter which pair, just so they are diagonal. Red wire from the battery goes to one prong. Red wire to the atomizer connector goes to the prong diagonally opposite. The remaining two prongs go unused.

You are welcome. If you have a multimeter handy, you run voltage checks to see where the problem might be originating from.

Do you have a voltmeter? Switch it to the ohms setting to check for connectivity, and connect your wires to poles that a) read nothing, no connectivity when the button is in its standard position and b) read 0 ohms (full connectivity) when the button is pushed.
If its wired that way and you're still having a problem, it could be the connector.
On DSE901s, if using the radioshack N size jack, you will often have to cut the threads down a bit for the center pole to make contact with the positive connection on the atomizer.
ugh, no ohms setting, only numbers and a couple of options have a "v" next to them
Do you have a setting for 20 DCV? The symbol for ohms is often used, it looks like an upside down horseshoe.
Without the switch pushed it stays at 1, with the switch pushed it jumps to around 16 then right back to 1

On mine, it says Rx 1k(ohms symbol), and mine is a $3 piece of crap.
OK. I use the setting 3 clicks to the left of "Off". I put the battery in the mod, hold the black multimeter lead on the spring, then touch the red to each connection point along the path to the atomizer connector. You should get the same reading all the way through. Be sure to press your switch in for every connection after the switch. I then put the red lead on the positive end of the battery and test the negative side of the circuit by touching the negative lead to each connection point.
1.45 each time for everything. Still not working though

You are not going to get vapor, or even much heat at 1.5 volts. You will need 3 volts or more to get vapor. If it still doesn't work then, then the problem is getting the center pin of the DC jack or battery part to touch the center of the atomizer.
