Hi my name is Geldon im new to this forum.I have been vaping for a while and after a short break i started again. i bought me an Ipv D2 and some rta Kayfun monster Goblin B2 Fogger V6.Now i noticed my ipv d2 does not buck down voltage and im seriously dissapointed so i want to buy a dna powered unit. My question stands here, i think the dna200 is an overkill after all i vape no more than 35 watts. Im stuck on the brand of unit i want to get.I was thinking about a Hana Modz V4 18650 dna40. Please help me out with any oppinions on weather i should go for the hcigar vt200 or just go for an american dna 40 ,i want a reliable unit and im stuck should i get liPo battery or 18650 single or double, and what brand any suggestions greatly appreciated. My budget does not go over $160 and i really want a dna

Let me tell you about Hana Modz: I've been wanting one for a long time, but the v4 are just garbage. I read so many reviews saying their QC went down hill with the v4 and I didn't want to believe it, so I ordered one, the V4D DNA40. I received it, it looked used, the inside was done very shotty, and had a piece of the plastic that held the DNA board in place get unglued once I put the batteries in(I've read this happening to others also), which kept the lid from properly closing. I've sent it back, and I'm sure they'll try to slap me with a 10% restocking fee and not refund my shipping, which I will fight them on... now, this was MY experience, and your mileage may vary... theit V3 DNA 40s and V3 DNA30s ARE solid though. I ended up buying a Hana Modz V3 DNA30 and am very pleased.

Take a look at the Siegeli 75w with TC, they are also releasing a V2 of this mod. rDNA 40 is also killer from Vapor Shark, just the finish isn't all that great but they do sell silicone sleeves for it. Good luck in your search.

I considered the Vapor Shark, had the Vapor Shark Vapor Flash been out when I purchased, would probably have gotten that, it has some very good reviews.

I ended up getting an SX mini. A regular at my local vape shop looks at me rather funny for using at 16 watts.
The sx mini is logically and technically a better mod.if it was around 160-170 id get it reliable also not just 40 watts.it sucks when someone tells you oh this tamk shines at 50...i build with 26 guage and my rta doesent let me use high diameter coils so i have to keep my power down,it gets too hot too fast and if i lower my guage it starts muting flavour and wasting battery so to get that feeling where youre drinking your juice i gotta keep my wattage down. Now im approaching the store and this guy has me sold on the dna 200,what im thinking is to jump on the smod dna40 maceo 18650,then buy the 200 wensday after some more research.Just the lipo battery on the vapor shark has me a bit skeptical, and i heard that evolv chips we're not so great with the three cell Iipo batteries they were tested with single cell lipo's it was a rumor

I've recently picked up 3 DNA 40 mods (all within the last month or so) after making the switch from mechs. A Hana V3 Mini (with the floating pin, not the solid one), a Vapor Shark Vaporflask, and a Lost Vape ESquare.

I love the Hana. I got the scratch and dent because I don't treat my mods like artwork, and the $ difference was worth it to me. Overall, the finish is great, the buttons are fantastic, the 510 is perfect, and I have no complaints besides battery life. The Mini has an 1800 mah lipo, which performs great, but barely gets me through a work day. I *love* the size though. If you were to pick up the 18650 or dual 18650, I think you'd be very happy. I've heard about problems with Hana's, their QC, hot glue etc... all I can say is mine looks great, and performs great. It's a keeper.

I picked up the ESquare to try out dual 18650, and because I liked the form factor (I also got it pretty cheap, damn near new). It feels fairly solid (the weight of the batteries help), but definitely not on par with the Hana. It has the larger DNA screen, and I don't think I could bring myself to order another mod with the smaller screen. The square-ness looks good on the desk, but doesn't fit my hand like I'd like. I think the more rounded corners on the Hana are at least one factor.

I only got my VS Flask yesterday, but think it might be my end-all be-all mod. It's got the large DNA screen with an (I think?) gorilla glass top, so it sits nice and flush with the top. No collecting of dust and crap. The buttons (IMO) are the perfect amount of clicky, without that "tinny" feel you get with some tact switches. The coating (reminiscent of the Ego batteries) gives a bit of grippiness, which is good for a heavyish dual 18650 mod, without the least feeling of cheap-ness, which was my initial concern. I can use either my forefinger or my thumb on fire buttons, so for me personally, the button is in a great spot to use either left or right handed. The battery doors (supposedly revised) are easy to open, thread smoothly, seat evenly, and close well with the magnets for the latch-type thingy. With 2 3000mah LG 650's, I've been vaping for about 30 hours at 30+ watts, and have well over half a charge. And the shape? It fits the hand like every other mod wishes it could. It...... is..... amazing......

If I had to get rid of every other mod I've ever owned, I'd keep the flask, no questions asked. The price tag ($160) had me wavering at first. Some "high-end-only" people would consider that a "cheap" mod, but that's big money for other people like myself. Once I had it, and got a few hours of use out of it, it's an honest to god bargain.
