Trying to find some VG

Rite Aid or CVS Glycerin USP Skin Protectant is all I use. Relabeled Humco (which is VG, per the sticky on labeling in the DIY section). A squat 6 ounce clear bottle, near the bandaids. Ingredients will only be Glycerin 99.5%, possibly followed by the word (anhydrous).

PGA isn't available in NY. An alternative is Devil's Springs 160 proof plain vodka, it's fine, available at liquor stores, though it is likely not needed unless you are starting with an ultra-thick VG-only eliquid.

I use the Humco glycerin USP from Walmart. I found it in the skin care section, near tubs of vaseline. I seem to recall a thread from a chemist stating that Humco makes pretty much all of the USP glycerin that is rebranded in stores.

Many of the e-liquid sites will sell it in their diy section, as well.

Lots of vendors sell Everclear or if it's legal in your state try the liquor store- Everclear (190 proof)- pretty sure it's legal in New York.

Edit: turns out it's not legal in NY.

I've seen it once upon a time in the DIY section, folks were mixing it with a little distilled water and high proof vodka or PGA for those that could get their hand on it. The alcohol worked both as a thinner and theoretically helped keep the cart cleaner. Suppose if I can't find it, I'll have to just post a new question there and risk the inevitable "you should search a little and find it" response.

Highest proof I can find here is 151 and I'm not about to dilute with rum

look it up on walmart's web page. I took the product number with me, lady stocking the shelves needed to use the hand held thing to help me track it down. 6oz/177ml for $3 and some change. The walmart near me had it right under where the bandaids are.

What is wrong with water. Glycerin is almost always diluted with water to thin it out.

Nothing wrong with distilled water, though you get more thinning action out of high proof potable alcohol. When I buy DIY supplies vendors offer options to get the VG nic base diluted with a couple % PGA, I've never seen a place offer it cut with water.

Thanks, I put upstate because to most, there is just the city and everything else is upstate. I'm actually CNY- near Utica so I should have no problem finding it, now that I know what to look for.
