Hey guys, so my girlfriend's mom is a pretty heavy smoker.. Around a PAD or a little more.. She saw my ecig (Click Here) and loves it.. Unfortunately, she only wants to spend around $40-$50.. I know there are a lot of vetrans around who will prob offer better help than I. Since there are a lot of Thanksgiving sales going on, think this is possible? She wants something with enough throat hit as mine, and also uses the refillable cartridges (so she can put her own e-liquid in)

I'm trying to save another person from tobacco, and hoping you guys can help!

Many thanks,
God Bless

Does she want it to look like a cig?
There are a bunch of nice cig looking kits that are much cheaper, no offense, but the one you have is ridiculously overpriced. And they flat out lie about how long those batteries last. 100 mah is equal to about an hour of vaping.
So your only gona get tops about 3 hours before you need a recharge.
If she doesn't care if it looks like a cig she can get a really nice Riva kit that is very reasonably priced. The batteries will last 2-3 times longer and she would be able to use a variety of attys/cartos with it
Both kits you will be able to refill carts.
I also recommend she tried cartomizers. A cartomizer is an atomizer and cartridge combined, and many people like them much better than using carts. Plus they can hold a lot more liquid so she could refill less often.
That's great that your trying to help her!!
And welcome to ECF!!

You would probably have better luck searching for a 510 mega kit.. Not sure why they have labeled it a 520, because I'm pretty sure all that is is a 510 kit with mega batteries. And the one you have listed is way over-priced.

I know madvapes has a 510 mega kit, not sure who else, since I haven't been shopping in a while. But that is what I would look for.

Hey whitetortuga, I'm trying to get my nephew to this also. I'm getting him an eGo passthrough, you can vape plugged in or unplug and vape, works both ways. Here they are only $16.99.

eGo 510 650mAh USB Passthrough Battery

They also have a good price on cartomizers, and with ea. 5 pack you get a free bottle of juice I have this one and it works great, and is about the size of a sharpie marker.

The manual battery is much better. Auto batteries can be ruined with juice leaks.
And don't worry about paying too much for your first kit. The majority of us did it. It's all part of the learning experience. At least you like the kit. I spent way too much on my first kit and ended up getting an Epower shortly after, and now I'm much happier. My first kit I was charging constantly, now I get about a day to a day and a half on one battery.
And even if your kit was alittle expensive, if you like it and it got you off real cigs, then it's money well spent!

For cig looking PVs, a lot of people like the ones from vapor4life. The bloog and halo g6 are also popular

510 manual and buy blank Boge 3 ohm cartomizers, drip tip and eliquid. Mega manual is long (128mm w/ a cartomizer) but much more charge (280mah vs 180mah). I do not recommend any automatic batteries. Not FS510 (reverse polarity, its charger kills other 510's).

If she's go $44.95 then she can have prefilled cartos - Volt starter kit and I only recommend manual (manuals listed lower in the list as you look at the color choices)
Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt - Standard Starter Kit - Starter Kits

OR If she's willing to vape a big fat model, Liberty-Flights.com, press 20% off upper left front page, then buy a Riva 510 kit (and consider the SE kit with the 3-click enable/disable).

All need eliquid.

To the 510 manual kit you add Boge cartomizer 3 ohm (blanks) see NiteLiteVapor.us for black, tan or white. And a drip tip (not for auto batteries)

To the Volt manual kit later have her get a dse901 standard reisstance atomizer and drip tip for testing juices iwthout dirtying cartomizers. (LiteCigUSA.net has the atomizer and drip tip).

To the Riva 510 add a drip tip and Boge 3 ohm and 2 ohm cartomizers (blanks)
