Hi everyone,

I'm a new member, but I've been lurking here for a little while.

I'm amazed at the UNIVERSE of options for PVs, flavors, mods, etc. It's kind of baffling at first, but I think it's slowly starting to make some sense.

I'm in the process of quitting analogs (8 days and counting), currently with a combination of a patch and SafeCigs. I tried before with the SafeCigs alone, but I became frustrated with keeping batteries charged, and a steep drop-off in vapor and TH a couple of hours after breaking out a new carto. Also, the price of SafeCigs was close to the amount I was spending on the analogs.

Enter ECF, and some new alternatives...

I've just gone on a buying binge (18650 No Ego, batteries, charger, blank cartos and eliquid), and can't wait for all of my goodies to arrive! Hoping that with a little more firepower, I can drop the patch altogether, and just enjoy the world of vaping.

Has anyone (everyone?) gone through a similar process?

congrats on the 8 days, and hopefully you will have success and many more days smoke free...

I started on a cheap basic ecig, it was ehh so so, then like you I stumbled into the vast world of vaping.. It started with Dr Vapor youtube vids, then I researched n researched some more and ordered my ego, and I have not had the urge in 7 months for analogs... I am hooked on vaping :)

I got an ego-t and just stopped smoking the hour that I received it.
45 year habit, 45 per day and just stopped. These things really do work.

Apparently not everyone is able to convert as easily as me (and my wife) did, but even if you just taper down slowly that's still great.

Good luck.

That's very encouraging. I hope I have a similar experience.

Just reading your signature though...1.3K on supplies? Yikes! (I'll bet it's still cheaper than smoking though.)

dfc, welcome. I smoked for 30+ years and quit completely after losing the skinny 510 and getting an eGo. The vape ruined the smoke. It was just better. I have no desire to smoke anymore. Blows me away every time I think about it. I hope your vape ruins your smoke as quickly as mine did! Great you went for a bigger batt right away. And I haven't spent much more than I did smoking, alot has been just having fun with my new hobby!

the hardest part for ne was the tightness in ny chest the first 24 hours...its just a mindset thing...if you say to yourself "I'm not gonna give in to this craving bc ill probably give in to the next one" its easier. I smoked Newports for 10 years at roughly a pack a day and srill have a pack but its not gerting touched...vaping truely is the way to go :) good luck!!!!

That's for 2 of us, and we have a lot of stock, we could easily go six months without spending another cent.
There's a Provari in that amount too. :)
Even so, vaping is waaay cheaper.

Cheers

Congrats, dfc! I was also one who just straight up stopped smoking the moment I picked up my first eGo. Not everyone can do it that way, but however you do it is just fine. The great thing about vaping is that you don't have to quit if you're not ready to. You can go at your pace, cut down, and give them up if and when you're good and ready.

The No Ego web site states that one cartridge equals 30 cigarettes: that's a HUGE LIE!!!

http://www...........com/proDetail.asp?renzhen_id=19

You can never trust a supplier that makes those type of claims.

Laurie seems to be respectable. I was actually seriously going to buy so I was in communication with her regarding her apparently getting in some new chrome 18650 NoEgos (like the 14650s but bigger). She told me to wait on 'em, but it took her a while to get them in, which gave me time to think and ultimately decide to go all out and get the ProVari instead. However from my communications with her she seemed to be responsive, and I haven't heard of any complaints about her or her product.

OP, it took me awhile. Course, I smoked tobacco cigs 52 years. Well into the third pack everyday. I fiddled around with all the "look alikes", used um as much as I could, but continued smoking reduced packs of tobacco cigs. Can remember when I was simply thrilled to only be smoking a pack and a half a day. Then came the eGo class "big batts". This ain't a hobby to me, and I don't think it's all that much fun. Nothing against those that I differ from, this is really a "roll yur own" endeavor. I preordered the ProVari, received it just affor Christmas. Point is I don't like messin with none of this crap. I wanted/needed: nuff power and juice to last my 13 hour trip to/from and the workday. Since the ProVari, I've worked my way outta smoking any tobacco ciggs. Don't know exactly when I quit, don't even care when it was, point is I did quit. I haven't smoked any tobacco ciggs in more than six months. The noEgo uses the same sized batt. Should be nuff power to last anybody at least a workday, even if they hit it continuously like I do. I throw an Torpedo Tank, (there's jillians of brands), (or build yur own for cheap), and that's nuff juice for my 13 hour day. On my weekends, I fill that tank at least a couple times. Now I'm working and cuttin the nic. No doubt in my mind at all that you won't be able to quit smoking tobacco ciggs ifun ya really want to. I'm living proof. JMHO

Good Luck with yur quit,
otrpu

I actually didn't see that on the website, and the link you provided is broken (for me, anyway).

Are you sure we're talking about the same product? The one I ordered is from Jazz cartopipe the first Cartomizer Pipe

Good point. The one I found was a different site. Thank you for pointing that out! Your's looks like a nice device. I really like that it has a non-propriestary battery. It looks much like the E-Power.

Welcome, and good for you! i've only been vaping for just over two months, started off with an ego because of battery life, and I love it! Granted, i'm still hitting the analogs when stress gets high, but i have cut my smoking in half, or more!! Point being, take your time, don't stress about it, and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping! The options are limitless it seems, and the great folks here at ECF have made my transition soooo much easier!! You won't find a kinder group of folks!!
Enjoy!!

Thank you all.

Exciting times here. Ten days off the analogs now, but still on the patch and the SafeCigs. While the SafeCigs don't quite do it for me, they're certainly not all bad. Maybe I'll do a review on them at some point.

The exciting part is that I've got hardware now! Recent arrivals are my No Ego, some carto's, and finally (today) some batteries!

So now (with my batteries), I have "juice" but...NO eJUICE!!! I ordered my ejuice on Sunday, and it hasn't arrived yet. (My own fault, for ordering that last.)

I'm dying to try out my PV!

But I guess it would be worse in a way if everything had shown up today, but then I still had to charge the batteries! At least now all the hardware will be ready once the software arrives.

Happy vaping!
