rounding third and heading home...
I quit smoking after 25 years with Green Smoke. I then went to APV. I have all kinds of gear, many juices......but I still would rather have a Green Smoke red label or vanilla. They must know what people want. I'm sure many companies are similar. Halo, EverSmoke, White Cloud, etc.

Does anyone simply continue to smoke these brands, or are they too expensive with the cartos being disposable. I am trying to decide whether to simply stick with what I like or continue to search for the "perfect mix" of e-juice. There are SO many I have been frustrated. Today, I simply ordered what I like from the company that makes them.

How many people have vaped the 801 variety (small battery and disposable carto) for a few months? Anyone?

if you find a juice you like you can refill the greensmoke cartos- I do it for my wife for her favorite menthol.....

...If this is true, I can see why vaping all day isn't giving me too much nicotine. Thanks. I will look this up.

There are so many variables that go into nicotine absorption from vaping that the best approach is to let your body tell you what nic level to vape. Too little and you will get nic cravings; too much and symptoms such as headaches, light-headedness, nausea and gas may appear. Also, insomnia from nicotine isn't all that uncommon so people frequently vape lower nic at night.

Nicotine from vaping is absorbed through the mucous membranes in your mouth and nasal passages. The nicotine droplet size is too large to be absorbed in the lungs the way nicotine from cigarettes is. The longer you hold your vape in your mouth the more nicotine you are likely to absorb.

A cig-alike such as the Green Smoke doesn't produce the same amount of volume of vapor as larger batteries and juice delivery devices do so you get less nicotine. The Green Smoke isn't a regulated battery so as it runs down it will have less power to produce vapor.

Also, some juice delivery devices produce larger amounts of vapor than others.

now believe I will never "recreate" the GreenSmoke flavor. It's like different brands of cigarettes. I will simply need to find something that works.

Until you find juice you like better you will be ahead of the game sticking with the Green Smoke Red. Having flavors you enjoy is a significant part of making vaping more psychologically satisfying than smoking.

You also might want to give naturally extracted tobaccos (NETs) a try, Results of the first-ever NETty awards!. NETs taste more like dried tobacco smells rather than tasting like cigarettes or the Green Smoke Red.

Another place to find good juice vendors to try is Top 5 vendors (e-liquid).

I think it's in the New Members Info forum, or maybe the Infozone (linked above).

Otherwise, all the data is at CASAA - The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association

Thanks for this link.

Thank you SO much for all this info. There is a lot of info on the forum. This is useful.

I find that psychological aspect is important. Also, having a small, light "battery" that plugs into a USB port which Green Smoke provides is useful. It uses their cartos well and never rens out of power. It's probably tuned to a certain voltage. Nice to have.

The ECLAT study pretty much proved that factors aside from nicotine addiction play a very important role in being successful in quitting smoking. They studied a group of people who did not want to quit smoking using gear that is obsolete by today's standards. Four percent of the sub-group that was given 0% nicotine had quit smoking after a year and sixteen percent of them had reduced their smoking by over fifty percent.

While it's not true for everyone I needed the cig-alike form factor for psychological comfort when I first started vaping. I still use an eRoll cig-alike for out and about as well as for times when I to relax and vape something very small and lightweight.

However, I found much more physical satisfaction in the vape from my Twists than from my Green Smokes. I think it loads the dice considerably in the favor of vaping over smoking if someone starts out with a VV or VW battery paired with a cig-alike even if it is a decent disposable.
