tugboat mod (clone)

Is this a good mod? I like the box and the price but wonder about the electronic components of it. You know the clue on the sloder points of the wireing.

I would stay away from that one too, just like the Cherry Bomber. It is also an unregulated mod, if not quite a pure mechanical (it is technically a MOSFET mod). You really should look at a regulated box, would be my suggestion. To answer your question, though, there's no way to tell the quality of a clone of anything until you spend the money and look at it for yourself.
