Snow, sir ...... in your video, you stated "8 to 10 draws, from 2 or 3 drops". So may I ask if that would be the same for normal dripping? (a non-surgically-altered carto) On average, I should get about 4 or 5 draws per drop?

Another fabulous video Snow....you are so creative. I think I could even manage that and what a great way to test a juice flavor without wasting a cart.
No. When the pfill starts to get "thick" it's a sign the Carto need to be rinsed out. All the sugar is building up and carmelizing in the filler....but soaking it in Vodka and flushing it in hot water will take care of that quite quickly. I actually avoid dark juices since they tend to not be Carto friendly. (sucks cuz there are some dark juice flavors I like ) If you are staying with same flavors and just want renewed performance out of those cartos watch the video below. It will show how to give those a Carto a quick rinsing.
It's a 50/50 shot Kittypie, if the wicking material comes up with pfill it's game over. You can use 1 leg of the tweezer, pressing the pfill against the inner housing and move it back and forth to help loosen the pfill. I think I mentioned that I have on occasion just yanked the filling out leaving the wicking material and tube intact.
Well, dripping is the purest of the pure so-to-speak, max flavor is the driving point. I can't speak for every atty or PV set-up, but from my experience it's about double that. Strong flavors are the best indicators like a menthol or something are best to detect when the flavor has peaked to determine your Drop/Draw ratio.
Lambo I'm curious when you caution about leakage...do you mean leaking from the bottom of the Carto, out the wick tube/post hole on the Carto Connector, or out of the mouth piece if the Carto is tilted downward?
I ask because the base of the Carto is a pressed fitting with 3/16" wall as well the metal air/wick tube which extend up from the base of the Carto is a 1/2" long. So if you are dripping 6 drops at a time (3 in Carto and 3 on the Wick Tube) it should never be enough to go above the metal air/wick tube. But if you drip into the Carto, then turn it upside down or hold it with LED end of your battery higher than the Carto it will indeed leak out of the rubber mouth piece cap.

I'm always amazed at how much vapor this produces and how fresh the juice tastes. However the Cartos themselves only last a week or so as the Atomizer starts to clog up. I have never tried to wash them out afterwards since I only do this mod on cleaned used Cartos.
Being a full time dripper means carrying juice with you all day, that's just too much commitment for me personally.

Leaking at the battery end. I'll refrain from guessing as to how it happens but on 05-08-2010 Dogsbody said this: "I got one today that leaked for some reason, I guess they are not all exactly the same, the stem part does push out so I guess it could have been a dodge seal there, or maybe around the base of the stem may not have been totally sealed." And on same date Lightgeoduck said this: "MY CON: USING a drip tip or T-tip.. you could get drops to go through the center hole and some liquid can escape thru the battery end if not careful."

I wish I knew who's video I saw on this a year ago, but I can't seem to locate it. It wasn't Doggsbody, although I did once see his video where he was hammered and tried cleaning a carto with his Cappuccino machine....that didn't work. I think he does most of his videos after a night at the pub.
That's sounds like one of those 1 in 1,000,000 manufacturing flaws, who even knows if it was a V4L Carto, and it doesn't appear to have anything to do with this mod.
That's a known known....Drip Tips are a misnomer for KR808 Cartos, it would be better to refer to them as Carto Tips.
One thing that is important to note: Make sure not to use a burnt Carto, if the Air/Wick tube is compromised you may experience leaking. This is no different than standard refilling with any regular Carto.
I was able to find Doggsbody's Video and you can clearly see the Carto he uses is burnt, after dripping into the Carto (a few more than I would suggest) he picks up the Carto and juice has dripped onto the table from the Cartomizer.

After personally doing this trick 40-50 times, I will say again, there is no need to worry about leakage. The base of the Cartomizer is well sealed and you would need a minimum of 14 drops (way more than you should ever be dripping) before any juice could ever leak through the Air Wick Tube.
If anybody tries this trick after watching this video and experiences any leakage, please let me know.
