I was messing with a flanged tank carto and found that the tube portion of the carto was press-fit to the threaded base.
(THIS IS THE PART I DON'T RECOMMEND)
While the carto was attached to my PV (for leverage) I twisted the tube with a pair of pliers and it came apart from the threaded base. Inside I found the poly-fil was a single sheet wrapped around the coil assembly, and the coil itself had an insulating thingy of it's own that looked like it worked as a wick.
This was a Smoktech flanged, pre-punched carto. Of course if you're dripping juice into one of those, you're gonna leak haha.

but has anyone tied this method on the boge cartos? i have a few of those laying around but no other types!

I just did. First I tried a punched carto that I had previously used and then boiled. Taking the filler out was a serious PITA, I assume because it had expanded from use. I ended up accidentaly ripping the coil out of that one while attempting to remove the filler piece by piece with tweezers. I then tried with an un-punched unused carto and was able to pull the filler out in one piece without ruining the coil.

It does work, but I would certainly not compare it to a proper RBA. It's more of a .......ized dripper.

Where is the coil on a boge SR carto?
